As someone well versed in the book writing and marketing world Matt I wish someone like you would expose the politician book scam. I came across this several years ago from a client of mine that owned several radio stations and was a political contributor on a large scale. It works like this-
1. Benefactor has maxed out legal contributions but still wants to grease his candidate.
2. Candidate’s agent bundles supporters who will buy X number of pallets of candidate’s book.
3. Agent negotiates with publisher for millions of dollars advance for guaranteed millions in sales.
4. Reported millions in sales are stored in company warehouses around the country and occasionally given away to employees and friends before being disposed of.
