It's been clear that voting irregularities can be deciding elections and this has to be fixed. It's clear why Trump does not believe he lost. I think that is at least a reasonable conclusion. Paper ballots and voter ID are the way to go. You have to have a good reason for absentee and identity has to be confirmed. All states should adopt this. The good news is if voter turnout starts favoring Republicans, Democrats will likely get on board. Though possibly not, since historically, they are the cheater. These voting issues aren't that hard to fix.
Got no problem with paper ballots and ID, as long as the government provides the ID free of charge starting with the issuance of an SSN #, or Driver’s License, and retroactively issues them to every eligible voter, including felons who have done their time.
I’d also like see voting schedules both compressed and expanded. No more three weeks of early voting, but also make Election Day on a Monday, a federal/state holiday, with the Fri/Sat/Sun prior being the early voting window.
Both parties suck, and both are complicit in trying to limit democratic participation in order the win elections. That’s the cheater aspect.
No, both parties are not trying to cheat. Only one. Both of them try to draw districts, something I think the supreme court is going to say is unconstitutional soon, based on race. But basically your ideas sound fine. Are you from Canada, though? Not sure about felons, maybe if they've done their time.
Both parties do cheat. If you don’t think Jeb Bush cheated to help his brother win the state in 2000, even before the post-election shenanigans, well, it’s your right to ignore valid evidence if you wish.
I wish I had your confidence in SCOTUS doing the right thing re. gerrymandering, but think they are as anti-democracy as are the political parties.
I’m from NC; spent my entire life here save for a six-year hitch in the Navy. Grew up in a college town, and spent my summers on a farm in the reddest of counties, so I saw the full spectrum of political ideology, as the civil rights and Vietnam protests were in full flower.

Well, that might be true with Bushes. I'm not a fan. But I am pretty sure most of this cheating is done by Democrat activists.
Well, you’ve gone from ‘only one’ party cheats, to ‘pretty sure’ most of it is Dems.
I’ll have you quoting Marx in short order. ;-)
Don't count on it. LOL
