Damn right!!! I feel I have a unique and special opportunity with all who been in my ear my entire adult life to ask if they’re ready to offer me more lecturing. From professors, to lame bosses, to fair weather “friends”, girlfriends and family members. I’ve always viewed our federal pimps and weak ass, spineless bitch boy presidents as …

I’m no angel. I’ve totally lied to people. And even screwed people over on deals and such. And I’ve certainly died a coward’s death one too many to count…. But those ways and actions didn’t destroy millions of peoples lives, and certainly not willfully. Then ya hear the whole “we can’t handle truth” hardline about tough decisions. There we go again, talked down to like I’m a fuckin child. Maybe try that on us when you’re not taking all the wealth from us. If they can’t play us straight why honor any of it?
I used to “get schooled” on how wreckless and immature and uneducated I was being to not vote for presidents. How I’m shitting on all the named and unnamed hero’s that fought and gave their lives for my right to vote. What a way to shame a family member and friend.
at this point, approaching 40 in days, I pat myself on the back for having conviction and agency in all past elections and solidifying that now 1000 fold for the rest of my blessed days. It’s almost entirely rigged and has NEVER served or been about “we the people”, since I started questioning the pledge of allegiance in grade school, and quite arguably before that. I’m not saying I hate America, I don’t. but I am saying to hell with all the people who’ve bastardized it to this day. And there’s plenty of them…. I cant wait to not vote. I’m so excited I get to not give a shit and feel SUPER GREAT about it. YaY for me and anyone with the same mindset. Live your life, pray for hope, treat the people you meet with humbling dignity, and simply ignore the turds in suits asking for your vote. They’re useless, desperate, despicable and totally undeserving of our attention and support. I don’t anticipate that changing anytime soon. Just my too sense.
Yet some are worse choices than others. I'm glad Al Gore never became President. But there were some Florida voters to my left that may not have voted, and, realized too late that their vote may have mattered when Florida was decided by 537 votes. But as long as you're good with either man winning, no one can persuade you to vote.
Just doing my best to persuade with logic. I know that NJ is highly likely to vote for the Dem nominee in high enough percentages such that it would appear that voting for anyone else is fruitless. The same was thought in Florida in 2000. The same was thought in North Carolina and Florida and Pennsylvania and Wisconsin in 2016. If logic isn't enough, I thought, wrongly, that an appeal to emotion (a logical fallacy) might work - the emotion being the fear of feeling absolutely sick to your stomach after refusing to vote, and only finding out after the fact that your vote could have prevented the greater of two evils from obtaining the highest office in the land. But apparently there are a number of political gadflies (defined as those who are critics of all candidates, but don't seem to have better offer to make - I prefer the term gadfly to narcissist) among the group in this thread, so, you're right about not being able to reason with a political gadfly.

Jack, you can't reason with political narcissists. It's all about them and their feelings of self-righteousness.
