Let's look at a smattering of this mornings news/bullshit/propaganda offerings.

"Donald Trump is Bleeding Moderate Support"

"Nikki Haley sweeps Dixville Notch's Primary, Winning All 6 Votes"

"Donald Trump Challenged Nikki Haley To An Aptitude Test And You Know What Happened"

"Rachel Maddow Exposes The ‘Special Sauce’ Of Donald Trump’s Strongman Pitch"

"Jimmy Kimmel Mocks Trump's 'Record Crowd' Brag With 1 Video That Says It All"

'MSNBC's Joe Scarborough Says This Biden Tactic 'Has To Be Driving Donald Trump Crazy"

"Scarborough calls Stefanik a ‘clown’ for defending Trump miscue"

I'm fairly sure that I could go on with this until time ends.

I think tonight will be a bit of a tell. And I am so interested in the "Joe Biden" write-in numbers, even more than the Republican deal. Democrats: NH? Live free or die? 100 years of being first in the voting order? Too cold, too many trees, too -- white? Too independent, with two/too many other candidates who made it onto a ballot? Mostly, too independent. Yeah. Democracy is at risk.

And the always classic, "He's really finished this time!"

This morning there was an article, I shit you not, attacking Trump's mental acuity.

The Dems literally inserted a cabbage head who gets trapped on stage & whose speeches generally degenerate into full on glossolalia to the Oval Orifice, yet Trump's mental acuity concerns them.

Self awareness is something the average 21st century corporate liberal seems to lack in spades.

I also saw Rachel Maddow rambling on about how defeating Donald Trump should be liberal America's #1 priority and America should drop everything and concentrate on that task to save American democracy.

Which translates into: MSNBC made a shit ton of cash pushing Trump fear to their credulously gullible audience and they're gearing up to do it all over again.

I never watch network TV, except for clips that I see on social media. Watching the coverage via Matt and Walter was like going back in time for me to a day when elections were real, when they mattered - even if not very much.

Do any of them believe what they assert? I doubt it, but if they do, then we are seeing a form of mass psychosis.

I never really thought of 'biden' as speaking in tongues, but you called it! That's him!

If Democrats ever admit that Donald Trump has already been President, and nothing happened, the game is up for all of them.

Oh who am I kidding? They'll just starting flushing their memory hole toilets with greater frequency.

Trump's biggest crime in the eyes of the deep and enduring powers, was his attempt to make peace with Kim, and his refusal to fight Russia.

I ask people, "What did Trump actually do that was so bad?"

Much sputtering ensues.

I used to do that.

Never got an answer either.

Finally stopped asking when I realized I didn't actually care about their answer.

"Crazy people should be avoided" is one of my top rules for a happy life.

These folk are obviously a few floors short of a skyscraper.

I’m not a Trump-lover, but I do hate tyranny. I hate attempts to exercise power between equals. I’ve realized it has to be someone like Trump (or Milei) who doesn’t give a fuck about their baseless smears. Someone that doesn’t care if you like them but will stand their ground and tell them to fuck themselves.

I revere Dr. Ron Paul and often reflect upon how different the world would be if we had two terms of Dr. Paul, but he is too nice of a gentleman to take on the fight against TPTB head on. His role was educator, which isn’t a dis for “the greatest authorities are those who teach, not those who command.” But it has to be a bombastic arrogant bastard to endure the shit-storm directed their way.

It can’t be me: I’d be threatening to kill these people. Which they deserve for betraying humanity - but isn’t the best rallying cry, lol.

Since I can't wake up from this nightmare, I may as well join you guys for some clever comments and well-earned laughter...Trump, Haley, Biden? A fool's gallery for sure.

NH is an open primary state in the sense that people not registered as Republican or Democrat can vote in either primary. Kim Iversen showed a recent poll in which Trump has a massive lead among registered Republicans in NH, whereas Haley has a massive lead among non-party registered voters (presumably mostly Democrats).

This approach worked so well in 2016 when the Clintons hand-picked The Donald as Hillary's opponent. It did work better in 2022 when Democrats funded the most extreme Republicans in their primaries knowing they would be easier to defeat.

Expect bipartisan Machiavellian procedures to reign throughout 2024. The Aspen Institute's FBI/ DNC/ STate Media and social media's coverup of Hunter's computers/ Biden Corruption as "Russian Disinformation" (along with New Knowledge's engineering of the Alabama US Senate election to put the Senate under Democratic control) will look like child's play this time around.

Interesting point about the Democrats pushing for Trump in 2016 and the stop the steal people in 2022. Now, they are obviously pushing Haley which means the strategy has changed. I guess they finally feel Trump is an actual threat.

The Aspen Institute, FBI, DNC, State media, social media. That must be some tarp they used in the cover-up but then again that's quite a grounds crew they assembled for the job.

Throw in a few volunteer fire departments and you've pretty much got the entire country involved.

Expand full comment

Well the entire Establishment anyway. I suspect the coverup-- "Russian Disinformation"-- by Blinken's 51 friends in Intelligence had a bigger (related) effect (election interference?), but it entirely depends on which candidate you support.

I wish there had been more detail on those Aspen meetings; Taibbi seemed to present that and other sleazy electioneering as normal (guess it is), all fun and games until the IRS knocked on his door.

You might not remember how Trump's minions use of Cambridge Analytics outraged his partisan opponents-- "Foreign interference in the Election!"-- until Cambridge Analytics leaked the fact that they had done the same for Obama in his previous election -- when it was hailed as "Brilliant!" "Forward thinking use of new technology" and "the future of politics".

I don't care (all fun and games), as long as these "tricks" are transparent, which they usually are AFTER the election.

Funny thing about voting, as a Dem, for Trump; you cannot then write in Biden.

Kind of a double edged sword of stupidity, that one.

Expand full comment

I tried to reply to a NH voter about their screwed up voting rules, but don't see his comment?

What saved Trump, or sunk Nikki, depending on your view, was that fake "Biden robo call". That seemed to panic NH undeclared voters, who wrote in 60,000 votes for Biden in the Democratic primary rather than swamp the Republican primary for Nikki who lost by 30,000 votes. Yes, that robo call was an attack on American Democracy!, interfering with Democrats attempts to interfere in the Republican primary.

Maybe you are correct and American voters should get two votes, so they can vote in both primaries? Or three or more votes? Or, being America, maybe voters should be able to buy as many votes as they need? (Maybe I could sell my vote?)

Set up a federal fund for each candidate that any citizen can give money too. The candidate with the most donations to their fund wins the position. The money goes to the general fund instead of to the parties. This would reduce the federal deficit.

States and cities could do the same.

Expand full comment

This "primary" was just so sad and pathetic. I couldn't care less who wins this thing on either team, we're screwed whomever wins. Live Free or Die? Good lord, NH Democrats, have some fucking pride. The guy blows your state off, your votes don't count as delegates anyway, and yet you drag yourselves out to write in the guy anyway. And say "maybe if we show up and show our support, the Dems will come back and not blow us off next time." They're not coming back.

And our governor, who has some serious shit on her plate here at home, goes up to stump for the write in vote. Why on earth would anyone in NH care about a governor from another state. Or Ro Khanna, for that matter, who i actually like but whose opinion wouldn't influence my vote in the slightest. Have some pride Maura, if not for yourself, for our state. He's not going to give us any money. But he left us a fresh batch of new arrivals who have apparently been camping out an the airport because we're long past full up.

And the mayor of Boston went up to stump as well. Who is a different story altogether, she ran on wanting to increase the population of Boston by 100,000 or so warm bodies. wtaf? I'm sure he'll oblige you on that, but look elsewhere for the money. Not from us, we're tapped out. Whenever she gets called out on something, she goes into this passive aggressive feigned obtuse act which is just poisonous.

I got an Elizabeth Holmes vibe from Maddow's outfit. And that diss of Marianne wasn't beneath her, it's who she is. A smug, petty, irrelevant twat. Didn't listen to her enough to hear if she cracked out any Russian asset smears.

The Dem pundits from a couple of NYT columnists to Stelter on Vanity Fair are very worried that no one gives a shit about this election and no one wants to read the papers or listen to the cable shows anymore. They're all hemmorhaging writers, readers, and subs. Karma is a bitch.

Ok, rant over, i feel better now.
