I was not even the least bit interested in these things when McCain was running for President. So i wont pretend to know whether his views were misguided on Russia. But i find the article no the least bit persuasive. Poor opinion at best.

GF

That sounds about right. Certainly there were points where we could have worked with Putin to make him an alley. NATO chose not to...

Do you think it was just left over ideology from the Cold War or was it more strategic?

All True...

But will history record it that way. Putin just made a tactical error the same way Bush did in invading Iraq....

I think there will be a strong "right wing" influenced narrative that it is all NATO's fault.

And their will be a strong "left wing" narrative that Putin was just evil.

And both will be correct and both will be wrong.

What i care about is the influence that the "Military Industrial Complex" played in making this happen.

LG and RJ are two Senators... And they are in the minority party. I seriously doubt those two clowns are the primary drivers of the MIC... I think it goes much deeper than that and there are just as many BLUE hawks as Red Hawks... Infact i would say this is where i start thinking 'deep state". From control of the media, NYT and WSJ, Fox and CNN pushed "narratives" about WMD and they are pushing "narratives" about Ukraine as well..

I think this is deep state stuff..

I think you are right about the strong dollar too.. that is why the US will never run out of money to borrow... No other government can guarantee it like the US... And knowing that the US is literally flooded with savings from around the world we can quickly see that inflation is not the result of higher interest rates. It is the result of MONOPOLIES that have no competition in this country. Countries with fewer monopolies have far less inflation...

That is awesome... John Adams ancestors are leader in the MIC. Like the Bush's and Clinton's Dynasties of corruption....

I totally agree with you and respect you for being on to the Neocon grift for 20yrs. I was totally duped by it until about 2016 and Trump when i had to re think everything. I agree, the Neo Cons are a grift but we still have to support the Ukrainians....

Putin is a threat to peace. And we stupidly poked the bear..
