Legacy media goes down in flames, again! Kudos to Matt, Walter and all the Racket team.

Update: required reading for any remaining Obama fans: https://unherd.com/2024/11/how-trump-crushed-obamas-legacy/

"If Biden was senile, then who was actually running the country? Who had enough clout to order the President’s removal from the ticket?

The answer in both cases was Obama. And now he was on the hook not only for Kamala Harris, but retroactively for the more general mess that he and his operatives had helped to make of the country. Everywhere from Harvard University, his alma mater, where he helped install a repeat plagiarist as the University’s President, to the Middle East, which went up in flames the moment he was able to re-animate his Iran Deal, which appeared to be even stupider — if not as expensive — as George W. Bush’s determination to transform Afghanistan and Iraq into Western-style democratic societies at the point of a gun, the Party Leader’s Midas Touch-in-reverse was evident, even if no one ever breathed a single word of criticism.

Yet Americans, of all races and creeds, felt themselves to be living in a dystopian version of Alice in Wonderland, controlled by an unseen hand — and they didn’t like it. If the elite pollsters and expert predictors who had failed to foresee a Trump win had familiarised themselves with American history, instead of parroting the talking points of Obama and his operatives, they would have seen a country eager for a renewal of the freedoms that the vast majority of Americans embrace as their birthright..." Must read - Crushed it!

The very first step needs to be housecleaning at the DOJ / FBI The very first person who should be brought in to chat with Congress is Louie Freeh, former Federal Judge, former FBI Director , former partner of Hunter Biden and key coordinator of the Burisma influence peddling scheme. When Hunter's laptop became public Louie dropped out of the practice of law and disappeared. He was Hunter's connection to the top of the FBI and to FBI offices around the world.

It will be interesting to see if the margin of victory is wide enough to discourage ANTIFA from their planned violence and disruption.

Expand full comment

So you do want show trials and prison camps for political opponents. How soon before he declares martial law?

Expand full comment

Y'all probably incapable of understanding but America deserves

- The truth about the extraordinary corruption involving not only the Bidens but former FBI Director Louie Freeh, top FBI officials and DOJ. Louie Freeh was on the Biden payroll and reporting back on using his influence with "top FBI sources" to assist in the Burisma influence peddling.

- Evidence of influence peddling , it's in the emails the FBI has had for 5 years including the clear statement that they wanted to buy "Biden influence" .

- I assume that you don't care about the abuse of women by Democrats but the Banks were reporting huge sums being transferred from Hunter to offshore sex traffickers. Hunter thoughtfully documented hundreds of hours of his sexual abuse of women, providing women with piles of cocaine in exchange for sex ( drug dealing) .

- In another email exchange they are scheming on how to get $2.4 BILLION for JP Morgan (Chase ) out of the treasury in the form of a tax credit which they were not allowed to receive.

- Democratic consultant Blue Star Strategies was on Hunter's Burisma payroll and coached Joe Biden before his trip to have the prosecutor fired.

- DOJ had received multiple bank Suspicious Activity Reports detailing large international cash transfers to Hunter. As agents have testified under oath they were not allowed to follow up on these and they were eventually suspended for wanting to do their jobs.

It is amazing how little interest liberal women have in the physical abuse and drugging of very young women by Hunter. In case you are wondering about the evidence , Hunter thoughtfully left hundreds of hours of selfie porn on the computer which the FBI had long before the last election.

It also had the legendary email/message trail documenting 20% for hunter and 10% held by Hunter for the Big Guy......

I thought a real feminist would want the truth and to protect young women from abuse....

Maybe Trump should make it so that there can be no pharmaceutical company advertising on TV. This would sink the legacy media and allow something else to spring up. Something not carrying the water of big pharma. I really hadn't considered how pharma had captured the media with the ads. After all, who takes prescription medicine because they saw an ad on TV??

Expand full comment

"After all, who takes prescription medicine because they saw an ad on TV??

lol. Lots and lots of people. That's why you see lots and lots of ads for "prescription medicine" on TV. That's how advertising and sales work. After all, who buys Buicks because they saw an ad on TV?

If you have lots and lots of money and lots and lots of profitable merchandise to peddle, you, too, can capture the media. Your spaceship just touchdown on the planet?

Expand full comment

Counterintuitively, I suspect the ads ARE aimed at ill-informed patients, NOT doctors. Doctors are pretty much up-to-date on drugs, trust me. But, in the litigious environment of medical malpractice, doctors are wary of REFUSING to prescribe drugs for conditions a patient may already be known to have which are unlikely to cause harm. BUT, for instance, imagine: should a patient die and the survivors discover the doctor refused to prescribe a drug which may (or may not) have helped. Boom. You're in court. And everyone's RX increases in price. Get prescription-Big Pharma off TV.

Who cares? Let Taibbi observe the political scene as he has always done, honestly and with wit, and let the chimps fall from the trees where they may (as long as they don't bite the fingers and faces off of anyone).

Trump and Elon may have literally saved the country, if not humanity itself — Trump by proving it was possible to resist the borg (big tech, corporate media, the Democrats, academia, the government) and Elon for providing an avenue for dissenting voices to be heard that had too much of an established network effect to be throttled like Parler and Gab, both of which were removed from the app stores as soon as they started to gain traction in the runup to 2020. Progressivism (which I consider distinct from actual liberalism) cannot survive free speech and open debate, which is why progressives love censorship. So their entire game plan was based on controlling the information environment the same way they did in 2020 but Elon fucked that plan up.

Good call on liberals vs. progressives. I'm an old-school liberal who hasn't been able to identify the Democratic party since Clinton was in office. They stopped standing for what they used to stand for, and started standing for shit like war and censorship. Now that the nation has rejected that, not sure where they go.

If Obama had let the 2016 primaries happen fairly, Bernie would have won, and we would have had the election of all time with him and Trump. Once Bernie had been excommunicated, a lot of people, especially with populist thinking, turned to Trump.

Expand full comment

I have to say, Trump sure does have a pair. He's endured nearly a decade of media scorn, FBI raids, multiple lawsuits, wiretaps, rape accusations, and two or three assassination attempts. And he's a billionaire who really and truly doesn't have to put up with any of this. Most people would have been ground down by all of that, but he kept on going. I have some newfound respect for him, hopefully his second term is not a disappointment.

So Donald Trump and Elon Musk are not part of your so-called "Borg?" Big tech? Corporate media? And Donald Trump was born in a log cabin and pulled himself up by the bootstraps? And Elon Musk started out as an auto mechanic and through hard work and apartheid grit made a big success of himself?

Your boys Trump and Musk are a big part of your "Borg," they just live in the more crude and darker corners of it.

If Democrats can find a woman who can succinctly define what a woman is, I’ll consider voting for them again. What has crippled the Party is its acceptance of the hard left as the new Democratic center. In my youth Democrats were the party of the working man and woman. Republicans were the guys (only guys) who looked like the dude on the Monopoly game box.

My how things changed.

Expand full comment

They need to pick a viable candidate, and I speak as a someone that almaost always goes with the republican. What happened to a democrat like Bill Clinton??? I guess Obama killed that democrat party. Slick Willie may have had some serious wandering ayes, but at least as president he was a likable guy, even if you disagreed with all his policy. I was never embarassed of being represented globally by him. If the Dems find a likable candidate like him, man or woman, and move to the center a little bit on the big issues they can win it in 2028. If they keep rolling along with the identity politics, and checking boxes, they are doomed for the forseeable future.

Expand full comment

Slick Willy killed that party. Slick Willy and Hillary embraced the Wall Street Money and later the SF Big Tech money, and all the debauchery that comes with it. Today, it's laughable at best the Democrats can put in an ad that they are working for the middle class.

When Obama ended Occupy, it was the wake up call for those of us that went to school before they stopped teaching critical thought. That time is also in line with the Ewok line.

Great reporting, during the entire, very long election. It has been historical.

Who new a Party labeling 1/2 of all Americans ill educated, racist rubes, too stupid to appreciate the "greatest economy on earth" , would not win?

Who knew running ads, with a celebrity informing women, it was OK to lie to their husbands about their votes, like it was 1964, would be insulting?

Who knew multiple legal cases, lacking any rational legal basis, might spur voters, to support the targeted?

Who knew running a candidate that de facto legalized drug sales and use, and thefts to $950, in her home state, might be a bad idea?

Who knew parents might believe boys in girls bathrooms, locker rooms and on their athletic fields might be a bad idea?

Who knew if Dems opened the border, not only people looking for economic opportunity , but criminals and terrorists might cross it?

Only in America can the ship head so off course , and then right itself.
