One can equally say that Biden offered to provide close air support in exchange for the Afghan president helping him with PR at home, which was intended to boost his approval rating. That is certainly for Biden's personal political benefit. You see two can play at the game of interpreting events in the worst possible light. By the way, I don't believe either situation presents an impeachable offense based upon publicly available evidence. But I do believe that if one lives by the sword, one may die by the sword.
We can also "pretend" all day long. IF Biden received *any personal gain from an act as CINC, an action that *also improved the U.S. position of an *ACTIVE hot war, people may not actively applaud, perhaps, but that's what we WANT out of a military Commander-In-Chief. Strategy *and Victory in war planning.
The action benefits EVERYONE in the plot, not just the leader. And the most *important benefit of this example, is that it is 100% LEGAL !
For Trump to HOLD UP Weapons paid for by the U.S. taxpayer until he could FORCE Ukraine to perpetrate a *Fantasy, a *Lie, and a *Scam smearing the Biden(s), for his own PERSONAL gain *IS ILLEGAL, by both U.S. and International Law ! Thus, the reason that our impotent, but energetic Con Artist was Impeached for it.
To understand the actual way that *LAW works, go ahead and IMPEACH Biden. DO IT ! Even *with Trump's Supreme Court loaded with Religious Nut Jobs
(specifically, but not only, A.C. Barrett and B.M. Kavanaugh) you will *discover the difference under discussion.
The reason many people do not *see a difference, is that many human beings do not *WANT to see a difference.
And, up against *that self-imposed brick wall, I will offer no further energy.
Hmmm. So there was nothing wrong with Biden's phone call. And if a GOP president makes a similar call in the future, you're perfectly okay with it. Good to know.
p.s. to my previous. Wanting superior strategy and victory in war planning from a President is *clearly not the same thing as *getting even a scintilla of those desirable characteristics !
