I listened and was touched. His reasons are worthy, considered, and deeply honest. I'm not pleased at all with a couple of RFK's policy positions but there is no question his ethics continue to outshine the alternative. 👍🏼

DaveL's avatar

Good to hear. That one of these candidates will happen to align 100% with any particular individual’s beliefs is highly improbable, anyway.

John Kirsch's avatar

Don't keep it brief, please. You guys are one of the few rays of light out there.

Mary Alice Winegarner's avatar

Yes! Finally some real politics and not the Joy and Soma entertainment/ propaganda fest of this week at DNC.

Real issues, policies and power struggles put up for examination instead of the demand for ‘faith in Kamala’ narrative the dems are selling.

Chilblain Edward Olmos's avatar

Lol.

Joy & Soma 2024!

😳

Nowhere Man's avatar

A gram is better than a Kam!

Mike Stone's avatar

Somajoy - Demand some from your doctor/PCP. Side effects: terminal boredom, chronic stupidity.

beverly hendricks's avatar

"Joy and Soma"! Loved that too.

Lars Porsena's avatar

Joy and Soma. It's double-plus good!!

Carina's avatar

These reaction episodes have been so soothing. They make me feel sane. I don’t even agree with M&W on RFK to be honest, but at least someone understands how I feel about what Democrats have become.

John Kirsch's avatar

Democrats are awful. I know because I was one.

I feel like I was in a cult.

Spiderbaby's avatar

So CNN mocks RFK Jr.'s speaking voice & say that JFK & RFK are spinning in their graves over RFK Jr.'s Trump endorsement?

So 2 assassination targets would be displeased with their son/nephew because he expressed solidarity with an ex-president who was an assassination target?

Classy people those Democrats.

Not very bright though.

feldspar's avatar

Close. But I believe they would be displeased with their son/nephew because he expressed solidarity with an ex-president who was a fascist asshole

Roger Kimber, MD's avatar

I am assuming that you are referring to POTUS DJT. He may be an asshole, but he is our asshole, but he is no fascist, and I don’t believe that you have the faintest idea what a fascist is. I think you just throw that out because you think it is less offensive than fuckhead or faggot.

I think fascist asshole better fits thug Joe Biden who actually is a mean sonofabitch and meets the actual definition of a fascist.

Tardigrade's avatar

He didn't exactly express solidarity. As a matter of fact, he invoked Lincoln's Team of Rivals.

feldspar's avatar

He's still a nut. One that has been cracked once too often.

Mr. Raven's avatar

The projection is deep with Fedbot.

Susan Carol's avatar

A nut who offered more substance and more statesmanship in one speech than either candidate has done their entire campaigns.

Curious, what makes him a nut in your mind? Or are you just parroting the MSM narrative.

Spiderbaby's avatar

Wow! RFK Jr. is a nut? So you're saying that Bobby stuck a senile old coot into the Oval Orifice & then spent 4 years to lying to himself and others about the mental acuity of President Bumbles while President Bumbles mindlessly led his country to the brink of nuclear war? Cause that wouldn't just make him a nut that would make him a spineless, batshit crazy, shit for brains shitlib who should probably be banned from voting until a proper psychiatric evaluation could be carried out.

Didn't know that about the man.

Billy Bob's avatar

Egads, there’s that word again, similarly used like the “N” word….play ground name calling.

James Roberts's avatar

do you even know what a fascist is?

Spiderbaby's avatar

Thanks for sharing. It's always nice to see the mentally enfeebled throw off their psychotropic med chains & howl every once in a while. So, if you could, please sign the guest book on your way out & may all of your future hallucinations have the soporific effect of a good bunny hug.

Eileen Thornton Renda's avatar

Somebody had to say it. Glad RFK did as the World was “Forced” to Stop and Take Notice! Can’t wait to hear what you guys have to add to his Fantastic take down of what is a Fifth Column disguised as our Fourth Estate.

Rob Roy's avatar

Trump and Kennedy believe in the two most important issues facing Americans: Freedom of speech and stopping forever wars. My two greatest concerns. Harris/Walz believe IN censorship and wars. Now, whom do you want making decisions on these two issues that have overwhelming effects on your life?

Marie Silvani's avatar

I don’t want cackling bus lover Harris and whirling Walz stolen valor making ANY decisions.

Mr. Raven's avatar

Zionism is the sticky wicket, all of them would jump if Israel demanded we attack Iran. OTH RFK Jr. in the cabinet does make it more likely I will vote for Trump.

Roger Kimber, MD's avatar

Trump doesn’t want to go to war, he wants to make deals and alliances that prevent and or preclude going to war. Exhibit 1 : Abrahamic Accords; Exhibit 2, ….n the business deals that he has done all his adult life.

If we could hang Valerie Jarrett, Barry Sotero, Hillary Clinton, & perhaps Chuck Schumer and Lindsey Graham & maybe some other neocons that don’t come to mind right now, so that there is no danger of arming/ rearming the Ayatollahs, for 8–12 years and hamstring Iran things could be looking up.

But the banksters will probably find a way to stir things up.

feldspar's avatar

What are we going to do in 8-12 years when the Ayatollahs are all armed-up again? Sounds like Ayatollah appeasement to me.

Roger Kimber, MD's avatar

IDK, it may not concern me, as I am not going to live forever; OTOH, Persia is an ancient civilization/ culture &!if the neocons can just keep their mitts off of them the populace might just take care of them, as what happened w/ the old Soviet Union.

I think that we need to be more concerned about the crumbling of our now post Christian neopagan culture.

DaveL's avatar

A novel idea, let these countries follow their own path. Unfortunately, if it’s not liberal democracy (liberal in the original sense), we have to bomb them back to the stone age.

Mr. Raven's avatar

This neo-con woke fusionism is a bad look for all involved.

AMWL's avatar

Maybe they can be cast into the Phantom Zone. No need for Martyrs amongst that lot.

Mr. Raven's avatar

Meh Jared Kushner is a a radical Zionist and has his ear, and he has made noises about how the Israel lobby doesn't have enough influence. Still I might chance a vote for him this time if RFK Jr. is there as a steadying hand. Sure as hell not voting for the cackling witch.

Roger Kimber, MD's avatar

It’s good to hear that cackling is a dealbreaker for you, as I think it is and should be for any sentient human (implying that the leaders of the DNC are neither human nor sentient, & the followers are sheep or goats.

Mr. Raven's avatar

It's a symptom for sure of at bare minimum being an out of control lush.

Roger Kimber, MD's avatar

Oh for her, for sure, though I hadn’t really thought about it until recently. Kamala & Hillary both have that air of being lushes.

Roger Kimber, MD's avatar

Do you equate Orthodox Jew with Radical Zionism? I am unaware that there is 100💯% overlapping in those ven diagrams— confessing naïveté, not challenging.

Mr. Raven's avatar

It’s way more complex than that. Of course there are Jews who are wonderful people like Glenn Greenwald, who I watch everyday. I actually have the most respect for ultra Orthodox Old Testament Nutria Karta and secular Jews. I do think the Talmud is a bad document, and encourages mainline Jews to think of gentiles as less than human, and thus open to exploitation. So my problem is with a culture not individuals. If white is considered a culture open to critique from the left, why can’t Talmudic Judaism be treated in a similar fashion?

DaveL's avatar

How ‘bout giving up on culture wars altogether?

feldspar's avatar

J.D Vance making an ensemble of thigh-high leather moccasins and a long-coat made from sewn bear skins his everyday look might just clinch the deal?

Mr. Raven's avatar

Are you drunk and posting sexual fantasies online glowie bot?

feldspar's avatar

No, that stuff comes after Racket News.

Mr. Raven's avatar

You are going to get fired glowie for drunk posting, kind of like your hero Skamala who drunk legislates.

William Taylor's avatar

More great substance from the sparring Feld.

Susan Carol's avatar

I don't recall Trump weighing in about free speech much, save when he was talking about his own. Perhaps I haven't watched him speak enough.

Blue Thing's avatar

I agree with you, but a really important issue for me is a woman's right to control her own body...not sure who I will vote for.

Lisa's avatar

For me, vaccine mandates enter into that discussion. Kamala apparently has vaccine requirements for working on her campaign which I find ridiculous and contradictory. The shots obviously do not prevent transmission.

BookWench's avatar

Controlling one's own body is not all they want -- & they didn't want that during Covid. Democrats want legalized abortion up to the moment of delivery in all 50 states, instead of the few that now allow it. Late term abortion = infanticide. This issue is best left up to the states.

Roger Kimber, MD's avatar

If she would control her knees, she could control her own body. But that is now should be a matter for the states.

Unsaid in what you say, is the fact that spread legs can lead to a second individual's body in the equation and y'all never have any consideration for that body, and having been one. of those second bodies, I am very suspicious of your selfish motives, since half the second bodies that you don't take any consideration of are female bodies.

POTUS DJT and his SCOTUS appointees took care of that dilemma for you, it shouldn't[t be an issue in the presidential election.

feldspar's avatar

"End Forever Wars," which is chud code meaning "we support Ruzzia, not Ukraine," and who is threatening your freedom of speech? Elon Musk?

Roger Kimber, MD's avatar

You are pretty obtuse, but maybe intentionally so: cancel culture, the whole Educational establishment: try sending your kids to government schools wearing shirts that say there are only two sexes, & see how long it is before the assistant principal calls you…

CynthiaS's avatar

Don’t bother with Feldspar. Don’t give it any wind for its hot air sails.

Mr. Raven's avatar

We would be lucky to have anyone as brilliant as Putin leading us. Did you see his interview with Tucker Carlson?

BookWench's avatar

How lame.

Our freedom of speech is threatened by the stupid Antisemitism Bill, & by government busybodies pressuring social media outlets to censor posts by opponents of the regime.

You cannot possibly be this dumb. I mean, Matt Taibbi revealed the extent of these censorship efforts in the Twitter Files.

Mr. Raven's avatar

Fedbot is off his pace tonight, pretty sure the cackling lush is inspiring it to hit the bottle. I mean hey I wouldn't want to misgender it!

Nowhere Man's avatar

She has inspired (driven more like) me to hit the bottle this week, so I can't really cast aspersions there.

Mr. Raven's avatar

LOL, I admit to drinking a pint of beer tonight, something I haven't done in months. Fedbot OTH drank the whole bottle of 100 proof scotch...

Nowhere Man's avatar

Easy there.

I've had 2 pretty strong Manhattans tonight and am thinking about a third. Last night needed the same watching Killer Kam. Don't tell my doctor.

feldspar's avatar

A doddering fascist clown with a bad golf game?

Roger Kimber, MD's avatar

Pedo Joe has been taken out by coup by his own team, feldspar, try to keep up, or just go back to the peanut gallery, STFU and watch and learn if you have the humility to learn.

feldspar's avatar

lol. "Humility." Ya, ok, chud-meister. I'm definitely a-learnin', though.

William Taylor's avatar

Personal attacks and sarcasm.

McExpat's avatar

Things are finally getting interesting.

Cesare di Monte Calvi's avatar

Trump should announce RFK Jr. as CIA Director, Tulsi as Secretary of Defense, McGregor as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Vivek as Press Secretary, etc., to make it difficult for the CIA and others to kill them all.

JD's avatar

RFK as Health and Human Services Secretary. Let him rip and tear on big pharma and those tinkering with viruses.

Bonnie Blodgett's avatar

Best thing about him isn't his Covid stance but his pledge to dismantle Big Ag. Our industrial farm system is truly killing us. I've devoted my life to this issue. RFK Jr. has said the unsayable. He knows his shit, thanks to his friends in our beleaguered movement and his willingness to forgo the vast sums of money poured into politics (the lobbyist-to-Congress and back again revolving door, as personified by Iowa corn king and current USDA secretary). My family has profited on the business side of this horrific industry and I, like RFK Jr. have shit in my own nest. Believe me, it ain't fun. He is also right about Ukraine and, again, unlike Trump, actually understands every detail that lead up to this insane and dangerous proxy war. Cargill the food giant was clear about its plan to take Russia (regime change in Moscow following the one in Kiev) because "Siberia is the new global breadbasket" as temperatures soar owing to the very thing, climate change, that Big Ag has knowingly contributed to more than any other sector of our economy. Ever heard of synthetic nitrogen? Now that RFK Jr. is running as Trump's trojan horse, you will.

Tardigrade's avatar

Although I fear more than ever for his personal safety based on what he said tonight.

AMWL's avatar

I also agree. Huge money and power embedded in that entire corrupt mess. If Trump wins, and if RFK Jr is turned loose and backed by Trump, and if they galvanize a mass of pissed of people to curb the Pharma and Food complex, he represents a major threat to their empire. I truly think they will stop at nothing to prevent this from happening, trusting that a large segment of the deluded populace will accept extreme measures because Trump is a “fascist” and Bobby’s a “nut”. May the same providence that has spared DJT till now, spare him and RFK today and into the future.

Vicki C.'s avatar

And Elon Musk also.

JD's avatar

I agree. Massive amounts of power and money are on the line and the deep state has an awful lot to answer for. I think this has become existential to them.

Rob Roy's avatar

I think Tulsi should be Sec of State (time for diplomacy!), Kennedy should be head of all medical issues, McGregor, yes, Sec. of Defense, Shanahan, press secretary.

Chilblain Edward Olmos's avatar

Been saying that about Tulsi Gabbard for months now.

Nowhere Man's avatar

Hillary would need truckloads of chardonnay delivered if that were to happen.

Vicki C.'s avatar

And Hillary is the very reason why it absolutely should :)

Cowgirlcontrarian's avatar

Shanahan for Press Secretary. Good idea. Libertarian for Education.

feldspar's avatar

Memo to President-elect Harris: Miss Tulsi would make an excellent Ambassador to Transnistria, once we extend diplomatic relations to the breakaway state. In fact, being able to send Miss Tulsi packing to the Balkans indefinitely might be the only---and at present the best--- reason to diplomatically recognize Transnistria.

Mr. Raven's avatar

You worried Fedbot? You seem tense tonight.

Chilblain Edward Olmos's avatar

Vivek’s brilliance would be wasted as Press Secretary. Of course he’d be incredible at the job. How about chief of the FBI! Just to dismantle it…

Nowhere Man's avatar

I'd like to see Bobby at AG like his Dad. He's a lawyer after all. Go after Big Pharma, the banks, Boeing, tech monopolies...

Mr. Raven's avatar

Damn, are you trying to make me have faith in the system or what?

DaveL's avatar

RFK jr as Attorney General seems to be a good fit. Seems there has been a previous RFK A.G.

Chilblain Edward Olmos's avatar

I like the cut of your jib, sir!

Indecisive decider's avatar

The Democrats did this to themselves. They pissed in the canteen then cry when they have no water. Morons, the whole lot of them.

Miep 💥's avatar

So basically we finally, after all these years, got a decent State of the Union address.

Sabrina Page's avatar

I have been watching Kennedy speak for a year, consistently full of integrity and brilliance as is Nicole Shanahan who he chose as VP, an intelligent, heartful woman in politics, as Tulsi is as well. Bobby's speech today was heartfelt and honest. Thank you Matt and Walter for being so excited about it.

Mr. Raven's avatar

Zionist and gun grabber were deal breakers for prez for me, but he would make an outstanding, FDA, DOJ, DHS, CIA head or Attorney General.

Sabrina Page's avatar

He has always been clear he wouldn't take guns. Agree with you about cabinet posts.

Mr. Raven's avatar

Not what I heard, I heard him say he was pro gun control a couple of times. Sorry but if we actually followed the letter of the 2nd Amendment full auto would be legal. If you don’t like that, then the onus is on you to change the Constitution.

Sabrina Page's avatar

Listening to him for a full year I heard him say clearly a number of times that he was against taking away guns - think on Joe Rogan as well. Maybe when he was younger, but not now.

Mr. Raven's avatar

It was this year, maybe he didn’t want to “take them away,” but he was for banning certain classes of guns which is Unconstitutional. A moot point if he is a cabinet official.

feldspar's avatar

So says James "Kalashnikov" Madison.

Mr. Raven's avatar

You must be hitting the bottle hard Fedbot, that was garbled and nonsensical even by your low standards.

Sandra Slivka's avatar

RFK Jr a "Profile in Courage"

Sabrina Page's avatar

I am still reverberating with the tenor of that speech. He truly is. May his courage catalyze us all.

j juniper's avatar

The CNN cutaway was telling.

reel life's avatar

agree. Did any msm cover his speech in any substance?

Tardigrade's avatar

I prefer to post things from purportedly neutral sources, so I looked for the whole speech on C-SPAN Youtube. I could only find a three-minute clip! So I posted the New York Post video on my Facebook page. We'll see if it gets a warning banner.

Tardigrade's avatar

So far no banner.

However, it took FB TWO YEARS to yank a funny meme I posted. Sometimes they're pretty sluggish.

Note, I appealed and they eventually reversed themselves.

Tardigrade's avatar

If this is Murthy v Missouri, that's great because if even one plaintiff has standing, they can all proceed with the case. At least that's my understanding.

Running Burning Man's avatar

I am now going to listen the the full RFKJr speech!

Great shit, Taibbi and Walter!

Sabrina Page's avatar

it was truly beautiful

Tardigrade's avatar

It's well worth a listen.

Chilblain Edward Olmos's avatar

That entire podcast was excellent. We’re lucky to have ACTUAL patriots like y’all who understand the importance of the Constitution of the United States and ESPECIALLY the Bill of Rights!

Old Breed's avatar

I’m sixty years old. This right here is turning into the best political season of my life. My deep respect to RFK, Jr for his speech today and for coming out on stage with Trump later. It was a classy move which cost him. He’s a fine man.

Old Breed's avatar

So am I. Fuck off, sunshine.

William Taylor's avatar

Personal attack, no substance.

Mr. Raven's avatar

This will be a full time job if you follow Fedbot around Substack documenting his logical fallacies.

Mr. Raven's avatar

Considering you are a drunk Fedbot, who are you to cast aspersions?

Sera's avatar

This is all getting very Le Carré. I love Le Carré, and the idea that RFK jr. could possibly become Attorney General sixty years after his father is something to turn this campaign season into a political Mobius Strip Club.

JFK’s grandson spoke at the DNC Kumbaya festival yesterday, so I think we owe his nephew equal time.

I’m very grateful to have the company of you two misfits to provide insight.

Rick Merlotti's avatar

Trump/RFK release the JFK file? The Fauci file? The real 9-11 file? Naw, but one can dream. Gotta get to the store for some more aluminum foil.Fresh out.

Chilblain Edward Olmos's avatar

Oooh Attorney General. Damn, that would be epic!

Mr. Raven's avatar

It would, but I think he would be more actually useful at FDA dealing with the big agribusiness fake food, and poison meds crises.

Jala's avatar

Hey , why not appoint him to both, Raven? Seems like any thing goes these days… like the damn,er, Dem party.

Nowhere Man's avatar

He couldn't go after them and much more as AG?

Mr. Raven's avatar

The one problem I have with him being AG is he is a gun grabber, so I really don't want him fucking around with the 2nd Amendment. Dealing with our horrible big pharma and big agribusiness food system is where he can do the most good IMO. So FDA, or maybe CDC, or DHS.

Mr. Raven's avatar

Judge Nap would be the best AG IMO, I wonder if he is on Trump's radar?

Nowhere Man's avatar

Judge Nap is great on foreign policy opposed to stupid wars, but as AG he'd have little sway in that realm. I know he and Trump are friendly and wouldn't be surprised if he's on a short list though.

Tardigrade's avatar

Since I live in the crimson state of Utah, I can still vote for RFK with a clear conscience.

I urge everyone to go watch the entire speech. It would be so refreshing to have someone in government, even if not the president, who can speak in such a relaxed, conversational, articulate, and intelligent manner. Not to mention his main priorities are the same as mine.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvO3s8kFdiU&t=2916s

Outis's avatar

Solid blue state here, so my usual Jill Stein vote will remain...do admit, however, were I in a battleground state, getting Kamala et. al. out is a priority and Trump is clearly the "lesser evil." Still, why do we only get to choose between evils? Kamala is a sure vote for WWIII and preventing that has always been my #1 issue. I might not agree with Trump/RFK Jr. on Gaza, but I do believe both of them would have negotiated a cease fire long ago. This is still better than what is going on now, which is outright genocide. As for ridding Gaza of Hamas, that will be impossible since Hamas has ever been a tool of Israel. Sure they recruit real angered patsies, but according to Jerusalem Post back in 2002, the top levels of Hamas are Israeli Intelligence. They always attack after a visit from Sharon or Netanyahu...like clockwork. When will the world realize that terror groups are actually Deep State actors????
