I remember laughing at the sight of all of these "journalists" covering the Black Lives Matter protests last year, who insisted that the protests were "largely peaceful", even though these statements were often made when there were fires appearing in the background. Nonetheless, there was obvious sympathy for the protests and it was deemed to be a just cause. So the subject matter of the protests became the story, as opposed to questions about whether it was being hijacked by extremist elements (eg. Antifa).

By contrast, the truckers' convoy doesn't fit into the comfortable narrative that our governments have continued to feed us, both about Covid, and the necessity of all of the restrictions that have been introduced in the name of "following the science". Furthermore, there is little sympathy accorded to the protesters, who in fact have been largely peaceful (there's been hardly any destruction of property anywhere). But somehow, they are dismissed as "racists", who are being funded by far-right fringe elements south of the border.

The double-standard in the coverage is very notable.

I live just about a mile from where George Floyd was murdered. The violence that followed was blatantly engineered by nefarious outsiders so that the narrative of violence could be spread by the media. In reality the vast majority of the protesters were peaceful. I had a friend injured by teargas. After the riots and arson ended the community collected food donations for those in need--it filled a large portion of a neighborhood park. It was amazing to see the solidarity of our racially mixed community. This never made it into the propaganda media's story.

I know someone that was murdered by BLM protesters for saying that all lives matter, so I disagree that they were peaceful. Burning, looting, murder. Not peaceful.

Phil Rizzuto on BLM:

"I know someone that was murdered by BLM protesters for saying that all lives matter...sort of the way Mayberry murdered that hanging slider of Gossage's last inning...You know what happens when you drink coffee all day? You gotta go visit Bill Veeck!...so I disagree that they were peaceful....Brett a pop foul that'll be out of play...burning, looting, murder last night at Comiskey, the disco night the bonfire on the field, Sparky ordering his players to the clubhouse..."

Are you related to Paul Harvey. I listened and learned to fact check and the very Republican Mr Harvey was always somewhere between 4 and 5 Pinocchio's on the rest of the story.

I've read different accounts. But let's take your perspective as the right one, in which case it was covered legitimately by the press.

But the same cannot be said about the truckers convoy. Almost immediately, they were accused of being a bunch of racists, funded by alt-right money coming from abroad. Very few members of the media, let alone the governments, gave them a fair hearing.

That's my point. I saw the propaganda distortion directly in Minneapolis. And I understand who the Canadian truckers are--decent people defending their rights. I have watched hours of the livestreams from Ottawa so I know who they are--diverse (racially and politically), decent, and actually not radical at all--just patriotic. God bless them. Fuck the binary partisan distortions from, mainly fake liberals at this time, as opposed to fake conservatives at others. This is an attack from the "third way", the global neoliberal oligarchy that respects no authentic/autochthonous liberalism or conservatism.

The money has be followed. The the twenty four seven honking and the fascists and bullies have been videoed. What is it about empirical evidence that you fail to grasp.

How many urls do I need to give to people like yourself. Our corporate press is pretty shitty. That is the unvarnished truth but we do have a free and independent press and we are a leader in press freedom and America has moved up to 44 somewhere behind Burkina Faso which I understand is pretty good for third world.

Thank you again for bringing the little grey matter (Is that gray or grey.) I have to resembling real living cells. My joy is telling myself puns that only my wife and I understand. My wife's doctoral dissertation was about educating everybody even those of us suffering irreparable brain damage. Her contribution to a government White paper on educating imbeciles like myself is available on line and if you visit I will be happy to show you where it is.

I know a brilliant young male such as yourself already knows more than most of us have any right to know but one day you to will have an EEG flatter than a pancake and be able to smile at your sudden lack of perception and my insanity. We trolls enjoy laughter as much as we enjoy fresh Billygoat. The only goat I have is frozen and and is lying at the bottom of my freezer and my wife does not eat goat or vindaloo curry.
