Voting in person at a polling place is the LEAST you could do as a citizen. A physical paper ballot is the only REAL way to exercise your franchise with scrutineers from all partys observing and Keeping the process honest. The mandatory time off does not have to be paid; your government does a lot for you and to you; surely you can put a little effort in. Several days of advance polls and yes, mail in ballots for the disabled and people out of the country. You should be registered by the state with a public list of electors. It's not rocket science, small third world countries manage. The current US system would never stand up to unbiased scrutiny. You really can do better!
Actually I have, they're not uncommon where I'm from. Normal I vote in an advance poll at my convenience. Everyone can always do better unless they're hidebound and locked in status quo.

Have you ever tried to vote in a blizzard? It's silly to say "you can do better" when someone is simply chosing one method of voting over another.
