Hmmm, just like the actual number of unarmed black men killed by the police in the US annually. The media is all about narratives now, not facts or numbers because those are boring and need to be validated. I think Daniel Pink predicted this in a way with his book A Whole New Mind, which claimed that the future belonged to the people who could actually craft a compelling narrative. I don't think he imagined it would be misused in this manner!
