Point 3: Beyond narratives, for comfort many people like heroes/wise leaders/"experts" they can not just embrace but invest magical belief in. For them, Fauci became the face of comfort and assurance. Watching neighbors become emotional cripples, and then chant whatever Fauci quotes the media served up was very depressing.
I think that I would never assign positive magical belief in any human who studies how to kill the human race through a bioweapon. No excuse would suffice.

One example is this diary entry that followed Feb 1 2020 teleconference Fauci convened of the world’s top virologists about whether the virus had been man built. This by itself doesn’t tell the entire narrative about NYT whitewash. There’s a lot more.

Also, Christian Drosten was with Ron; the rest felt that deliberate insertion was possible and given the fact that Dr. Zheng-Li Shi at University of Wuhan has been working for years on GOF in coronaviruses… could not let this go.
NYT article today:
“There was not total agreement” on the call, Dr. Fauci wrote in the diary. Of 11 scientists, not including Dr. Fauci, just two were convinced that the virus emerged naturally.
The others were not sure.”
If the NYT was an honest broker, they would have plainly informed its readers that 9 out of 11 of the planets leading virologists (that’s 80%!) concluded that it was possible someone built the virus.
What the NYT did today is to make the story about the reaction, not the document. Then it told its readers what to think, quote the harmless, paraphrase the harmful, bury the facts, and then leave readers feeling ‘warm’.
‘Warm’ because the NYT article last fact was recounting Dr. Fauci receiving the Presidential Medal of Honor from GW Bush and a quote from Tony that “my only failure was perfectionism”
I couldn't care less what Fauci has/had to say. Here's what should be heard/read from Steven Quay, MD, PhD.

Senator Marco Rubio is acting like a real asshole. He is publicly calling me a liar about my statement in the NY Times about my assessments for the percent vaccinations needed for herd immunity. I had said that I modified my assessment of 70 to 75% to be 70 to 85% because we really did not know the precise number and I wanted to encourage people to get vaccinated to achieve herd immunity. Actually, I made that change by extrapolating the measles situation where measles vaccine is 98% effective whereas SARS-CoV-2 is 94-95% effective. This entry in reference to Dr. Scott Atlas who was let go from the White House Coronavirus Task Force that same day.
Scott had publicly stated the same (kids are not covid spreaders) back in Aug 2020, and he was subsequently torched over the ensuing 4-months for stating this truth, and by Dec 1, 2020 - driven out.
Kids in most blue States didn’t return to school until fall 2021…
Even before all that, imo there would have been an IMMEDIATE and complete world-wide lockdown. All mass transportation would've been suspended, the city of Wuhan would have been the epicenter of a massive human tracking effort, and alerts across the world would've resembled the old "duck and cover" warnings, because a bio-weapon had possibly been released.
We cannot know whether it would have worked out any different, because people like Fauci doomed any possibility of that, but we can say that almost every human being on the planet was infected with covid because we listened to people like Fauci.
I don't mean to discount what happened to the kids. They suffered way more than they even know. Thank goodness kids are resilient that way, and maybe, just maybe one of those kids will grow up to be a superhero (anti-hero, lol) who will fling guys like Fauci into outer space!
It is my understanding that Obama administration had put a moratorium on this research and Fauci had found a loophole in the moratorium so he could get the research funded. It is unclear why it was so important to Fauci and he was willing to test the rules.
yep - even the DIA determined that the research was too dangerous to continue. So Fauci farmed it out through ngos, cut-outs and China research labs to bypass the ban. (possibly Ukrainian research labs as well but we'll probably never know)
The law was created to allow the research to continue and to bamboozle the voters, few of whom care to know much more than the price of gas and what's on sale at Wallmart.
