I will always take the time to read what you write. I also believe this short form TikTok sized video will be very effective in driving a wider audience to Racket. 👍

It will only be effective if Matt commits to building a following in the video influence space. 4.5k in 12 hours is a good start but orders of magnitude off [you can think of examples]. Racket can become a player in this space if it sticks to a schedule and the quality/relevance is consistent.

I would think Racket has the wherewithal to do that but it's also a question of priorities, opportunity cost and focusing on your strengths.

Fun fact about Secretary of State Tony Blinken: He is the stepson of Samuel Pisar, who was the lawyer and confidant of Robert Maxwell, the father of Jeffrey Epstein's madam Ghislaine Maxwell.

Gilgamech: "Mossad asset" simply means MI6 asset, the remnants of the British empire, who are responsible for most of the shit-shows which have happened over the past century and a half or so, including the current hatred between Israelis and Arabs, which didn't arise organically, but was actively promoted by these scumbags before and after the end of the mandate in 1948, by installing an extremist as Grand Mufti in Jerusalem, and an extreme Zionist as leader of the Jewish community, because chaos suits their interests, which are increasing their already vast wealth.

To contribute to Caroline's 'Comment Duels' in a non-violent way :)), from my soon-to-be-published book 'As America Crumbles...' a bit I deem more important than Blinken's Ukraine heritage via his great-grandfather Meir Blinken, who was born in 1879 in Pereiaslav, Ukraine or his far-fetched connection with Epstein via Yuri:

"Many wonder who pulls Biden’s strings, given his obvious mental challenges, and it seems that we have the answer from the horse’s mouth, the U.S. Department of State’s own website, and the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs Fact Sheet from September 21, 2023.

The Secretary of State, Antony J. Blinken—one of the Ukraine proxy war triumvirate, Blinken, Nuland, Sullivan—[emphasis mine] ”plays a central role in the initiation and coordination of these draw-downs. After initial engagement with Congress, the Secretary requests the President’s authorization to notify Congress of the intent to exercise the draw-down authority under section 506(a)(1) of the FAA and seeks delegated authority from the President to make the necessary determinations and to direct the draw-down. The Department of State is also responsible for coordinating the implementation of the draw-downs with the Department of Defense.

For Ukraine, the Secretary has exercised authority delegated by the President to direct 44 draw-downs of defense articles and services from the Department of Defense since August 2021, in response to Russia’s preparation to launch the February 24, 2022 full-scale invasion of Ukraine and continued war.”

Now we know, Anthony Blinken’s is the purveyor of Ukrainian scheme."

As Reson magazine has warmed us for many years (though TDS has infected them to a probably ineraducable degree), when one faction in power seizes the opportunity to overreach, we all need to ask ourselves what we should think about what those whose beliefs we can't stomach would do with that same license.

This should give all of us pause. All the time.

Just . . . people - hit the pause button at the ballot box. Vote for whomever wants to violate the Constitution the least, if that's the best option we have.

Ellen: I specialize in voting against. Throwing out the incumbents. Not that this will do a damn bit of good, what with rampant ballot-box stuffing, and votes counted by proprietary software. But. . .local elections do matter. That is where we can and should focus our energies and hope. Local candidates with actual brains, a moral grounding, and fidelity to our founding principles become state office candidates, and then national candidates. I have little doubt, though, that we are headed for economic collapse, as the bubble bursts, and many trials and tribulations, but we will survive as a free nation, because most people are good. The evil ones are a small minority. The only thing that concerns me is that stupid has spread through the population by public schooling.

Matt, you and your partners in crime, I mean journalism, have uncovered a vast ecosystem that seeks to use government money and other power to subjugate discourse and the free flow of information and ideas. This has been vital and important work.

The next step is what we can do to dismantle this ecosystem permanently and punish those responsible. I hope you can interview some folks and develop some stories around how we might go about this. The court suits by Consortium, Federalist Society, and Daily Wire are a great start, but presumably the bad actors will go underground so to peak to continue their activities.

How can we be certain we have stopped this once and for all??

Rather than scratch my head and wonder how people could be doing this, maybe it’s time for me to wonder if there’s any way to win. Are there enough people that want to lead and are good human beings?

Expand full comment
Ellen's avatar

Liked, but I am not sure they are truly excluded, though life and the path to elected office is made much much harder for them, and the rewards for the honest are certainly limited in scope (which is of course the problem in a nutshell).

If governments had less power, they would have fewer favors to disburse, and there would be fewer perks for the scoundrels attracted by the spoils of office.

All our politicians lie to get elected, George Santos just lied more.

His constituents should vote him out or recall him, not Congress.

Expand full comment

I can't speak to Neil Kinnock, as I don't know the details. Politicians do make campaign promises they don't keep - often they are unable to do so, in the face of systematic opposition.

That is not the same category as essentially inventng an entirely false personhood, to my mind.

I did not vote for Donald Trump in 2016, but I did in 2020. He had not kept all his campaign promises - certainly he made no dent in the "swamp" he had promised to drain. But I do think he wanted to.

And he was persecuted mercilessly by the swamp creatures - not for lies he told, but for lies others told about him.

To be told one has to vote for Biden is appalling. I have always had integrity and so should everyone else. To lose this is to lose your own soul.

(Have you given any thought to who should play you?)

You can't beat capitalism! Somehow it will market its own disgrace and downfall, and the demise of American civilization along with it.

Best case scenario: The director hires you as a consultant who basically does nothing, and puts enough raunch and politically incorrect scenes in the movie to inspire calls for censorship, thus increasing its box office appeal and the size of your cut. Then you can flee to New Zealand with the other well-heeled, farsighted refugees.
