Holy crap that was good, have Justin back, please!! You guys had me rolling.

"This has been Today's News." Bwahaha

I agree, Justin should make more guest appearances! When the 3 of them were on together I couldn’t stop laughing

I came to say this myself. Justin's s a trip, and should make regular appearances on "Today's News."

Michael Tracey- SHUT UP - Let Matt finish a sentence.

Randi's avatar

Did Tracey call those who choose to pay Matt "idiots?" Well, soon there will be one less idiot because I'm sick of listening to "The Michael Tracey Trashmouth Show."

clem h fandango's avatar

He was talking about paying Tara Palmieri, but I get it. I'm trying so hard to stay with Matt, but it's hard.

I have really tried also, but today's show was the last straw. Matt himself said that today's show was messed up, but all the shows since Tracey joined have been messed up. You know when you lie down with pigs you smell and I'm afraid that is what has happened. I'm done. I can't continue to pay to listen to Tracey's rants and Matt giggling and going along with the pointless pedophile conversations. Forget Tracey's backside, I don't know who would kiss his hairy ugly face and I frankly don't want to pay to look at it any longer. I don't understand why Matt doesn't seem to care that he is allowing his show to be flushed down the sewer. IDK, doesn't it look like sometimes he's being held hostage rather than hosting his own show??

—so you punish Matt?!?

It’a just another flavor of dialogue.

Magic happened with the 3 of you. A hilarious couple of hours.

I don't want to pay for, or watch, your conversations with this child and his constant interruptions.

I tried again, listened to the first 30 minutes or so and, once again, it was the Michael Tracy show - about Michael Tracy, and oh yeah pedophiles are basically mythical creatures and isn't that funny. Nope, turned it off. I wonder if they ever got to the news?

What was missing in today's podcast was Matt.

I think you have to get rid of Tracey, Matt. Whether he's got something worthwhile to say or not, he's completely obnoxious and cannot shut his mouth and let others speak.

DCKelley's avatar

Tracey found another person to interrupt besides Matt!

Jerry's avatar

Please shut Mr. Tracey up for a while. Come on.

KLM's avatar

All Tracey was doing was talking on a podcast and I wanted to smash him in the mouth. Maybe he can write, but the guy doesn’t understand that it’s wrong to continuously interrupt other people (the host!) and that it’s not just what you say but how you say it. I bet he was being obnoxious as hell at the party when he was ushered out. When people get obnoxious at my parties I show them the door.

Like a doddering uncle at Thanksgiving who goes off about how death metal causes violence, Matt Taibbi proudly informs his two guests about his new screed this week on The Racket — The Media is culpable for the assassination attempt against Trump. You can see see Tracey and Young twist uncomfortably in their seats. Who exactly are in ‘The Media’? Is it the whole media universe? Is he throwing in Candace Owen and every whacko podcaster? Isn’t Matt responsible for epic smears himself? Ffs just last week Matt threw red meat to his MAGA base by telling us the NYT was espousing mass senicide merely by publishing an opinion piece. Is the Daily News culpable for questioning Trump’s loyalty? Almost every other newspaper over the last three centuries has done so over the last three centuries. Was Taibbi on his soap box when Trump was fabricating Big Lies about Obama being a Kenyan Muslim? Did he object when Fox News spend one month deriding Obama as un-American for holding a cup of coffee?

That was a funny and interesting/ entertaining podcast. Justin added lots to it. But the topic of Substack lineups increasingly filled with frauds and/or msm rejects isn’t worth much emphasis since every aesthetic discipline has similar problems. Those kind of performers get the backing, maybe because money is made off their scam. It almost helps the scam to discuss it when silence about it might diminish its effect.

idk you can't be a platform open to everyone without welcoming the retrograde hacks. It's part of the process. I am grateful to Substack that they don't cause headaches by gatekeeping and invite internet originals to the same parties as the former TV people.

If you want a silver lining, know that all the former celebrities hate their current station and it eats them up inside. That's nice to think of.

Josh Wilson's avatar

Hahaha, it is nice to think of, like a warm spring meadow.

I can’t continue to listen to Tracy go on. He does not listen and just wants to talk over everybody. Matt, PLEASE will you get Tracy under control. Get a mute button or a shock collar. He may be smart, but he is also an idiot because he does not understand that he is doing this for an audience, not to shout his opinion louder than everybody else.

I enjoy your content, but Tracy is driving me away.

Andi Fox's avatar

Wow, Matt. Do you change your political stance according to your co-host?

And let this lib guy cut you off in the middle of a sentence?

You are so much better than this.

What happened to America this week?

Keith Davis's avatar

Matt, we want to hear you.

I didn’t find this podcast compelling. Too much about you all. The ratio of insightful analysis to loose talk and gossip was way too low.
