Just listened to the "Useful Idiots" episode today with Mark Crispin Miller; extremely fantastic episode. From there, I ended up checking out the Red Scare episode with him. Mark made an excellent, thought-provoking point that I had not considered – perhaps one of the reasons that corporate America is pushing so hard on transgender ideology is because the medical-industrial complex stands to profit a lot from hormone therapy and body modification surgery.
Do you think you would be able to write a piece on this? I'm sure you could probably do a lot of digging around on the vested financial interests that trace all the way downstream from (for example) ads on Youtube promoting breast-binding, etc. Mark even mentions Warren Buffett has significant investment in these types of medical practices.
Seeing all these headlines and knowing there are thousands more is both hilarious and terrifying. The commentary snark is all time. Hopefully these media outlets get their heads out of their asses, but nobody hold their breath on that one or you’ll probably die. Thanks for this year end gift Matt and happy ‘21.
Husband of a subscriber. Mentioned this on your FB page, but your characterization of a WaPo reporter being fired for dressing as Megyn Kelly being dressed in blackface is wildly inaccurate, per the article you linked to. Sue Schafer was a graphic designer for a defense contractor, not a reporter for the Post. The media angle was that the party she attended was hosted by Tom Toles.
