That would be nice. But we do not inhabit either a perfect world or a utopia. And healthcare by algorithm, whether a government one or a for-profit insurance corporation one, is not. If it is a government one it is about equitable distribution of service as opposed to the need of the individual patient. If it is a for-profit insurance corporation one it is about profit. And this notion being lauded in the States that the young people must sign up (contribute to the profits) to bear the costs is akin to Social Security and anyone with firing neurons sees the collapse of that coming despite the pretzel twisting of the economy to make it work. I am not opposed to acknowledging problems. I am definitely opposed to ill-conceived fixes. Can you say unintended consequences? The idea that government can fix our problems, much less satisfy our wants and needs, is a fairy-tale.
