So true. I can remember my own early reaction as Twin Citian seeing the photo and thinking, whoa, that doesn't look good--but it makes no sense that cops would act so provocatively in broad daylight with a crowd watching. Wait and see.
Sure enough, the original ME report and extensive bodycam footage put an entirely different perspective on it. But few people cared.
