I don’t find that interesting at all, because it seems to be true and they know a huge chunk of the population will blame them regardless of the truth so hey, may as well be blamed, whether you did it or not, for less people dying.

But you’re telling me, after we’ve seen the images of the hospital and parking lot, that that was the site of something that killed as many people as an entire V2 rocket exploding inside a packed auditorium?
Look up the casualty counts for individual bombs going off, look at the structural damage surrounding those events, look up the amount of ordnance required for those events, and the types of ordnance, compare those to the bizarre amount of fire damage:blast damage (kinda like the unspent fuel in a rocket sprayed everything and lit it on fire), and ask yourself, does that look like a JDAM strike, and one that could’ve killed 500 people?
Ignore “Israel evil, Palestine good”
That’s not my point, for this exercise I don’t care. Look at the damage type, amount, and compare with other explosions.
The count will be in the 10s not hundreds. I’m not sure what your background is but I was a FAC(A) (Forward Air Controller(Airborne)) when I was in the service. In short FACs are the ones who call in airstrikes. I’ve lots of bombs come of lots of planes and unless they were carpet bombing with B-52s, which they don’t have, one bomb wouldn’t cause that much damage. That’s just physics and nothing more.
Thanks for the respectful comment. I am basing it on what I've read from various sources. Even our own intel people are now estimating in the hundreds. Hopefully further investigation will clarify the number.
"The Palestinian health ministry said more than 470 people were killed in the explosion, while Israel said the number was deliberately inflated. US intelligence agencies assessed the number of victims to be between 100 and 300 people."
I don't believe the parking lot version based on analysis of live video caught by Al Jazeera and the one released by the Israelis with the 35-second delay.
I could be wrong. But you're correct - I shouldn't cite the same source I'm dissing. Let's check back when more info comes in. As for the attribution, those tweets and the warnings are damning. I will be shocked if it's not Israel.
Not sure what you believe but not believing the parking lot version strengthens my position. If an Israeli bomb or Palestinian missile hit the building the structure would have shielded most people. The only way you would have such a high casualty count would if the building collapsed or partially collapsed. There is no evidence of a collapse so that needs to be discounted. Thus your alternative is that a very large group of people were gathered in the open, parking lot in this case, when the projectile exploded.
For reference the OK city bomb was the equivalent of 4000 lbs of tnt and killed 162 people and destroyed 16 buildings. The Israeli air force is using F-16s and F-15s dropping Mk82 and Mk84 bombs. The Mk84 is the largest and has the equivalent of 1000 lbs of tnt. It’s hard to believe a bomb 1/4 the size of the OK city bomb would cause more deaths, much less 3x the deaths, but less physical damage given the proximity of buildings in the area.
Dunno why I keep going back to this thread but missed this comment and wanted to agree I made a mistake referencing OKC on another post of mine. It has nothing to do with this thread but reading this I realized I forgot about the RE factor of ANFO compared to military explosives so overshot the explosive power. I doubt anyone cares lol but I like to be thorough.
Israel warned them they were going to do it. Afterward, their own people tweeted about it, then deleted. Come on. I also just realized why they need to get the number down - Hamas doesn't have that capability, only Israel.
I already posted multiple articles by Chris Hedges, former NYT Middle East bureau chief. There is a ton of evidence surfacing, as I mention. The Israelis even posted about it on social media then deleted the posts, for God's sake.

Like I said, I very much doubt Hamas did it. And the count will be in the hundreds. But let's wait and see.

Those would be the same intel people who say Israel didn’t do it. Can’t claim a source then only believe half of their story.
Unless the parking lot was packed with hundreds of people it is unlikely the fatalities will be in the 100s.

At first I thought you were joking ...but then I realized that you're just dumb
This won't age well. So great that Taibbi's substack is now Twitter aka X.
This is delusional. Re "wait and see," may I ask what sort of evidence would be sufficient to convince you one way or the other?

An Israeli with no official position or access tweeted based on a Reuters article he read, which attributed the attack to Israel. For God's sake.
Look, what Israel is doing over there is genocide. Absolutely horrifying. Muting this thread.
