Matt and Walter,

Thanks for doing this extra episode. I wasn’t able to catch it live but certainly enjoyed the podcast.

By now you know that Walter’s instincts were correct about Walz being portrayed as the “okay deplorable “. The internet and mainstream media are filled with his “accolades “ as an “average guy “.

God help us. As a lifelong Minnesotan I can tell you that he is anything but. He is a Progressive Wolf in Midwesterner Sheep clothing.

Keep up the good work.

John from Brainerd

Is this Quiet Skies program strictly domestic, or apply only to US-based carriers, or do they follow you all over the world? Are they on every airline in the world? Would other countries permit the US to do this on their carriers? The latter seems a bit implausible.

I'd say it's domestic-based, but they can certainly follow you to a foreign country. Any jurisdiction they had over you once your flight (or connecting flight) landed at its destination would be subject to treaty between the US and the foreign country. They would also have authority over foreign carriers within the US, since TSA already has such authority.

Since they started, I've lost one pocket knife to the US TSA, another pocket knife to the UK TSA (who offered me an envelope to mail it back to myself), and a pair of scissors to the Turkish TSA. So far no dogs that I can remember!

I guess I'm doing better than Tulsi, so I should count my blessings.

What's it mean if they print "NERD" on the lower right hand corner of your boarding pass?

I’m freaking falling down laughing as Walter describes the County Fair pie situation. Sooo Minnesota! Sooo my own experience.

And I also lost my composure hearing Matt’s amazement that Charles Lindbergh was from Minnesota! Having lived my entire life within 30 miles of Lindberghs home it’s a shock to find out that not everyone knew he was from Minnesota!

I have a decent overview of German politics from 1890 - 1947. This would fit right in with Germany 1935.

Funny how everything Dems say that Trump is going to do they are doing or are going to do soon.

VERY frightening.

They seem to despise individual rights more than anything.

Walter, don’t worry about missing news. It’s all the same patterns over and over. And you’re one of the best I’ve heard lately in quickly deconstructing each news events. The time it takes for you to “think” about something, is actually a small fraction of the time that most smart people take. And there’s not that many of those around anymore. And for the rest of them, they should start listening to you. They might learn something.

Argh. Just when my courage to speak had arrived I learn of Tulsi’s apparently intimidating voice; a voice that has attracted a whole new following. What to do. What to do.

I'm glad you guys can see how bizarre this sudden adulation for Kamala is.

It seemed to me that nobody ever really liked her -- until they dropped Biden like a hot potato!

Then she was suddenly being praised to the skies, & nobody shows any curiosity about what her policies might be.

Once again, I'm wondering why Democrat voters are so compliant. Does anyone think there might be any opposition to Kamala & Walz at the DNC?

I really appreciate your integrity in covering these stories. You both mentioned on a prior show that you had voted for or contributed to Democrats. It has become rare to see truly nonpartisan coverage. The tyrannical surveillance state is a threat to all of us, so thanks for covering this!

About news coverage or lack thereof and little leaves floating on the surface of the pond.

For the media, nothing is real. Nothing to worry about. Nothing that a cleverly crafted, social media campaign can’t take care of. And then everything will be fine.

Nothing is real. They’re so deep into their own alternate universe, where what they say becomes reality, that they could be too far gone.

Matt! Please!! Put me out of my misery!! I have followed the directions to unsubscribe. But somehow it’s not happening. Euthanize my subscription. And in doing so let me attempt

a note that is (perhaps) a partial amend…

It’s on me that I wanted something from you content-wise that you actually never have produced. Rather than respond to your endless snark with my own I should have just long ago found the content I want.

Which at this point is straight up balanced reporting. Not commentary. Just who what when where.

I will say this though: you and Walter suggest that what you provide is coverage of stories not found elsewhere. Not true really. There is very little you reference here I can’t find with the aid of a search engine.

You and Walter feed an appetite. So does McDonald’s. That’s where I’m headed right now. So…again…please cancel my subscription.
