Good points. And the attempt by James Hodgkinson to assassinate 25 Republican members of Congress on June 14, 2017 was far worse than January 6. Yet there never has been a "June 14" committee. And the Republicans never attack Senator Sanders, for whom Hodgkinson had worked in the 2016 election.

The difference is that a U.S. Ambassador and 3 other officials were assassinated in Benghazi because Secretary of State Clinton refused requests from the Ambassador for six months for proper protection for them. That was a genuine issue that had to be investigated.
The January 6 committee has not investigated the one thing that IS comparable: The murder of Ashley Babbitt by Capitol Police officer Michael Byrd. The committee WOULD be legitimate if that was the primary concern of its investigation, but it has not come up.
Benghazi didn't need the 33 hearings and 7 Congressional investigations (1 would have been plenty), but it got them for political grandstanding purposes. Rinse and repeat for the many, many collusion hearings and Jan 6 investigations.

Republicans sure did love their weekly Benghazi hearings though. Democrats are just using the Benghazi playbook for 1/6.

Benghazi was a shocking stain on our national character. We left those men to die and sent no help. IтАЩm STILL horrified and embarrassed.
That's pretty much word for word what lefties think of Jan 6 - "a shocking stain on our national character"
Trey Gowdy is the stinker re: the failed Benghazi investigation...his 50 shades of pecker head haircuts is the tell about his integrity, or lack of.
