All this time, massive technology and efficiency gains should have been allowing Americans to live better than they ever have. Instead, the government zapped up trillions of dollars and handed it out to their buddies while we're stuck paying the bill. (And the higher prices from debasement!)

So frustrating to think how much better off Haiti would be if the US government had really worked to strengthen the civil society instead of using it a money laundering station for decades.
