I guess this "secret report" the Biden organization saw about a Russian invasion to happen the 16th was Russian disinformation--the real stuff too, not what the MSM tries to pass off.

The Biden syndicate got played for the utter fools they are. Course, that never could have happened without an MSM that is entirely MDM now. Brilliant!

Moe Strausberg's avatar

Biden is your President you elected him Let's go USA.

It is all virtual reality and pierce is teaching me how to write 21st century satire. It is a stupidity contest and the winner gets to blow up the world.😂

I did my first emoji today and I am loving it.

Putin is playing this doddering demented puppet like a Stradivarius and it is very dangerous unless they want him out. Truth be told. Russia is vehemently against the globalist agenda

Villeinesse's avatar

US/Billionairist Agenda!

HeathN's avatar

Keep in mind our economy is driven by fiat currency, which is consistently manipulated by the Fed. It puts the term "billionaire" into a new perspective.

Villeinesse's avatar

Seems 'we' find a reason to invade &/or Coup any nations that refuse to do the neoliberal CentralBanksterism that would allow much easier outside control of their monetary/political systems, too. We got a CB into Russia as soon as our Chicago Boys got their grasping fingers on Russia's public goods.

Danno's avatar

I was wondering why the corporate media suddenly had such a big problem with Russia, and that's the best theory I can come up with, too.

Joelle Berdugo-Adler's avatar

i think there is also the corruption of Biden Son Pelosi Son in Ukraine this is another major issue

Tom Hogan's avatar

I'll see your incompetent journalists and raise you two incompetent physicians.

Villeinesse's avatar

Don't forget the sociopathically corrupt corporate health (PHARMA) administrators threatening, legally blocking and taking certifications of better physicians!

If we had all established & maintained lifelong Evolutionarily REPLETE D LEVELS >50 ng or 125 nmol, this Mass Formation Psychosis could never have worked. Almost no one would have died of Covid (New Israeli study, same as early Covid/D studies) and our anxiety/depression and many other mental issues may have been prevented. Even our drug overdosing would have been far lower, as replete D helps us quit addictions more painlessly.

Isaac Seigel's avatar

Is this really all a smokescreen to hide the real disaster of the day per the AP: " Vice President Harris is meeting leaders in Munich to talk about Russia and Ukraine"

Joelle Berdugo-Adler's avatar

she cannot manage the southern border and she is going to go toe to toe with Putin, she has nowhere near the talent to do much. She did not do anything in the senate and she has done nothing since being VP - Putin is the shrewdest world leader, has to be to have survived she is not ready for prime time

Danno's avatar

Real journalists are no longer welcome in the major media outlets.

KB May's avatar

I’ve said it before, but I do not understand how you do all this heavy lifting on your own, Matt - but I am ever grateful. I am also soul-crushed and heartbroken that there are not throngs of journalists dying to become part of a network or publication that actually does what you’re doing, the way it’s supposed to be done; ie, actual news and reporting, instead of parroting the government. I am so sad 😞.

Is it okay to laugh over this? I mean, jeez... "What a bunch of maroons..." as Bugs would say in full drag. I used to think The Onion was in trouble when Trump was in office, but Biden had to up a the ante. It's full on national nutso mode everywhere you turn when it comes to the news in the U.S. And the fool proof fail of. "uhhhh....hmm..., oh, yeah, LOOK, we outmaneuvered Putin!" is much more glaringly, "I-I... uh, meant to do that..." face-plant, is lost on most viewers of ALL the news outlets. The inane hubris of our nation is both farcical AND dangerous as hell.

RON YOUNG's avatar

You are becoming more and more like Fox News commentators - using slang names, ridiculing people and trying to be significant by being hateful, but at the same time trying to balance on the tight rope of an anti liberal liberal. Why don't you try writing something that actually helps your audience better appreciate a topic? Educate us - don't try to entertain us with discontent.

Tom Hogan's avatar

I recommend NPR--they aren't always reliable, but at least they aren't entertaining.

greg ballard's avatar

NPR? No Point Researching. There all biased one way or another.

Louis Bingo's avatar

The story is the story, or haven't you noticed that about MSM/MDM/Russian Disinformation Media. It's becoming so ridiculous and transparent you have to laugh and mock. At this stage MSM is nothing but an object of contempt.

Tom Harney's avatar

Ron astonished at your projections. Matt's reporting about corporate media being played is accurate.

ChesterView's avatar

I am in the process of finishing "The Real Anthony Fauci", which - if you have not read it - is a profound eye opener. One of the things that it highlights, in addition to the rampant corruption that is part and parcel of western health care, is the insidious influence of the governmental bureaucracies, particularly the security state.

It seems to me that Trump, for all his faults, had it essentially right: the deep state is the problem. It was/is the problem in our Covid response (read the book), was the problem with Russiagate, and is the problem with the situation in the Ukraine. It is unchecked power, simply put, and the media and Big Tech are just its handmaidens. Unless we can get a handle on the wraiths that control the deep state, things will continue to deteriorate.

Developed country healthcare, with the USA in the lead, of course. (I probably should have capitalized the 'w').

Schmoe's avatar

And no one dare ask "What does Ukraine have that Putin wants?" Ukraine's per capita GDP is at best 50% of Russia's, and besides a lot of wheat there is not a single thing that would add value to Russia as long as it is not a base US missiles.

Moe Strausberg's avatar

I have been saying for decades was; Putin wants to keep Russia together and he already has Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia on his border and all have higher living standards and more freedom and democracy than the USA. Putin knows a free and democratic Ukraine is a greater danger to Russia than America can ever be.

Moe Strausberg's avatar

That is the fact checkable truth and that is a truth I know America as I know it cannot handle. Meanwhile Byelorussia is occupied territory

byzydude's avatar

The hype will continue until shortly before the SOTU address. Then the Biden admin will claim a diplomatic victory by stopping the "invasion". It will be the centerpiece of the SOTU address.

Terms of Service's avatar

But the CIA intel that the Russians will invade before the Teen Choice Awards is still good, right?

Erik's avatar

So you wrote an article in error about how journalists wrote articles in error. Are you going to write an article about yourself now?

Matt Taibbi's avatar

I didn’t make any error here that I’m aware of. It’s just new text.

Lucas Corso's avatar

Why are some comment sections now locked, and why did responses I made disappear? I need these questions answered before my next subscription renewal. Thank you.

Brian Katz's avatar

Matt corrects his mistakes and apologizes, the corporate media does not.

Louis Bingo's avatar

What error did Matt make? He updated; I don't see anything about an error.

Lucas Corso's avatar

Erik doesn’t have time to read. Or think.

Danno's avatar

It's a developing story. The new facts support Matt's take on it.

Lisa Lowell's avatar

picking wings off flies guy?

Tom Hogan's avatar

Exactly. Making occasional errors and recognizing them is exactly the same as being intransigent about one's errors like the New York Times, Washington Post, etc, etc., etc.

I fell bad for the "Wednesday" leak source.... The Russian military officials given Mon, Tues, and Thurs-Sun, were intelligent enough to keep the specifics to themselves. Mr. Wednesday though, he has an appointment with a firing squad coming up.

Louis Bingo's avatar

Putin played our MSM and Great Helmsman with a "secret plan" to invade yesterday. He gave them exactly what their default explanation is for everything they don't like--"Russian disinformation." They can't admit it now because it brilliantly exposes them.

NR Wai's avatar

"Hi NR Wai,

You can share with TIs privately by pasting the entirety of this message: Infinity B's online meetings for TIs are private, only with vetted TIs who have completed its TI Questionnaire (discussed below). Parts of those discussions may be edited and intentionally shared publicly down the road only with the express agreement of everyone speaking, so that TIs can feel comfortable talking with each other, exhausted, without committing to broadcasting any of it online before seeing any edited result. The TI Questionnaire is explained in my updated "Welcome & Index" (https://noamgrunes.substack.com/p/welcome):

"Tortured TIs who complete Infinity B Corporation’s https://infinityb.info/TIQ2 satisfactorily can receive an as-paid subscription to this Substack. The TIQ confirms TIs’ history under penalty of perjury. Those who complete it may be invited to sign an advisory agreement, then join calls with likewise vetted TIs while qualifying for potential advisory fees from the corporation in due course. The public benefit corporation seeks advisors who grasp NSA’s sleep-depriving, isolating, divisive religious program (summarized in https://infinityb.info/Filer2 from https://infinityb.info/Filer3). This appears prevalent in other organizations of TIs, where religious contributors’ foci may reflect NSA handlers’ intents (including for God-fearing or Jesus-heeding TIs to forgive “on duty officers” and other perps tolerating excruciating, home-invading, unilateral assault; we don’t, deeming their legal eradication necessary in any non-dystopian world)."

TIs who complete the questionnaire may be invited to sign an Advisory Board agreement partly to protect the privacy and professionalism of discussions. Vetted TIs who join Advisory Board discussions may receive some benefits from Infinity B Corp in due course, besides being able to talk with each other about what's slightly ameliorating the torture, paths to ending it legally, and safe venting even briefly without infiltration of anonymous perps in public conference calls. To be clear, we do not seek a dime from TIs. Infinity B is a public benefit corporation; the money-making side is for institutional investors (generally with $5+ million to invest) while the public benefit side is focused on TIs. Under Delaware corporate law we're obligated to balance the interests of clients, shareholders and public benefit.

I've encouraged TIs who grasp Filer's above-linked "NSA Mind Control and Psyops" to complete the detailed https://infinityb.info/TIQ2 and reciprocally shared mine at the bottom of https://infinityb.co/TI, a website to be streamlined and redesigned. Though some have authorized it, we haven't shared any others' questionnaires publicly so far. There's a section of the questionnaire on public sharing authorization.

You could share that you completed Infinity B's TI Questionnaire and have been a consultant for me. You could share your foundation and public multimedia plans apart from Infinity B and me. Please put this excerpt from me in quotation marks in any and all messaging with TIs, without any excision or modification, clarifying activities with intended precision.  Thanks, Noam."

Overthrowing the government of Ukraine, as the US did in 2014, to turn it into an anti-Russia, Russia-hating, platform, is something that makes sense only to psychomaniacs:

“So let’s get going, there’s no other choice. God willing, we will prevail, in peace, and freedom from fear, and in true health, through the purity, and essence, of our natural, fluids.

God bless you all.”

Gen. Jack D. Ripper

Unlike in Dr. Strangelove, where sane heads prevail (well, almost; at least they’re in leadership positions), today we’re all Ripper.

Here’s what that looks like:

Lucas Corso's avatar

Matt, did you lock the comments on the original article? I wrote a few replies to a couple of commenters, and they just are not there to be seen. What is the deal with that?

Moe Strausberg's avatar

This week's propaganda brought back a flood of memories and a torrent of of tears.

Canada should be the least of your worries. Canada is a healthy and vibrant democracy.

We have a free press, freedom and we are a healthy democracy. when your Ministry of Truth is busy 24/7/365 listen to Zelensky and leave us alone. You are everything and I mean everything we fear.

is biden really that dumb and incompetent? hes been in the bog leagues for generations now. or is he missing layups and foul shots and shaving points?

Tom Hogan's avatar

The "Russia, Russia, Russia" hoax again? Nothing new under the sun--or at least in corporate media.

Maybe the point is to distract from the Biden-ordered tyranny in Canada.

Matt, you may find this interesting, especially in regard to why Biden was so explicit about feb 16:

https://novayagazeta.ru/articles/2022/02/16/voina-trollei

„Байден даже дату назвал: 16 февраля.

Почему 16 февраля?

Очень просто. Потому что на этой неделе Россия получит окончательные американские предложения. Если Путин не желает воевать, ему не останется ничего другого, кроме как их принять, и Байден выйдет из этой истории победителем, который предотвратил ужасную войну.“
