Speciale delivery. Brennan is a ghoul who deserves prosecution. Please don’t let the AWFL CIA Karen win Virginia tomorrow.

Matt L.'s avatar

Did you notice when the question was being asked, Brennen scratched the back of his head before replying? This body language is a sign of discomfort, embarrassment, confusion, nervousness and anxiety.

BD's avatar

Yes, from the first time I heard of John Brennan after he was named to be the head of the CIA by Obama, many people, including some democrats, were saying that he was nothing but a political party hack, and had no experience or competence to run the CIA. I have always hoped for him to get his just rewards for treason. But I'll take seditious conspiracy. Maybe Clapper will roll over. He's vulnerable.

Noam Deplume, Jr. (look,at,me)'s avatar

Government officials and officers make an oath to the Constitution to prevent political skullduggery. Abuse of one's office should receive the maximum punishment because it harms us the people on a large scale.

norica's avatar

Thought he was untouchable. Must have had some good role models.

Danno's avatar

I'm beginning to wonder what he knows about the assassination attempt in Butler, and when he knew it.

BD's avatar

Yes...that event and the aftermath is incredibly suspicious.

Andrea rooney's avatar

Right? I think that was a self soothing action. And all the shifting in his chair!

Michelle Enmark, DDS's avatar

Definitely could spend a significant amount of time analyzing body language in these videos. It’s very revealing. It’s in these unscripted moments that we see the real person.

Harland's avatar

Oh, I remember the body language lady who used to analyze Hillary in 2016.

It was very telling, she knew she had an illegal email server transmitting classified information.

After some time and she started getting popular, Youtube banned her, naturally.

Jack Frost's avatar

And the NAACP is endorsing, * checks notes, the white lady ( AWFL) against a black woman who served in the Marines. You can't make this shit up.

Danno's avatar

On the other hand it could be seen as evidence that the NAACP isn't racist. Although being an arm of the DNC might be worse.

Kelly Green's avatar

The point being missed here is that an event was had in 2025 that involved 99.5% sycophantic oral pleasuring of John Brennan.

These two little moments are the exceptions.

That crowd was adoring.

That's the scary part.

memento mori's avatar

And at George Mason University no less.

Just Plain Me's avatar

That's why Obama was stumping for her. They need an ally to cover all of their crimes.

Harry Potter's avatar

Note the finger poking to the chest in the second video. Just like Biden whenever he was challenged. And into “lie and deflect mode”.

bestuvall's avatar

when someone tries that. step back one step or two. then they look stupid.. and the effect is lost

Phony Doc (Ph.D.)'s avatar

Sadly, Yuri, she did. Let's hope she loses the lawsuit with Speciale and that it gets widely publicized. . . .

ktrip's avatar

Brennan reveals once again the arrogance of the DC ruling class. He is the Katie Porter of the intelligence community with a little bit of Greta "How Dare You" psychosis built in. He thinks if he says it is BS, it is our job to believe him. I could never go to such an event, I fear I would have punched Brennan on the second BS. He and his cohorts are despicable. I pray Tulsi, Patel, and crew get some form of justice for the American people.

Steenroid's avatar

Especially when he kept poking me. He cry like the little bitch he is.

Steve Roughouser's avatar

He'd have had a broken nose if he'd poked me like that.

Steenroid's avatar

You’d have to hit him when he removed it from his ass.

I remember the 70s's avatar

User name checks out.

John Bibish's avatar

I second that reply. No touching allowed!

John Bibish's avatar

However, my late great friend George would have been more benign. However, that would have been bad news for that finger.

KRHope's avatar

And what a difference from the Kirk/Vance event where JD politely answered questions with people who disagreed with him. The Liberals events and protests seem to be filled with lots of anger and hate and conservatives with patriotism and hope. Chaos v order.

Mickel Knight's avatar

At that get together calling it Bullshit was all it took for the moderators to move on. Brennan didn't answer the first question and didn't have to face a second. We have a lot of willfully "na na na I can't hear you!" folks out there.

ktrip's avatar

The moderator is part of the DC ruling class. He is embarrassed his "wonderful" guest had to suffer the question of the rabble. Furthermore, he has no idea the rabble is asking a good question and follow up. "Let's all move on...and forget the lies of the past as we have new lies to get to!"

JDJAWS's avatar

Nixon was a piker compared to the Obama Administration and his Stasi Goons.

Pacificus's avatar

Sounds like hyperbole, but it is actually a fact: the Obama gang is far dirtier than Nixon ever thought about being.

Josh Wilson's avatar

But hey, NO SCANDALS!! 🙄

Harland's avatar

What's a "piker"?

I swear, you people and your bizarre ingroup slang.

Horatius Dumpp's avatar

I understood it clearly. It is an older expression, formerly in common use. This could be an age-specific issue for some people.

Harland's avatar

It's a freaking British word, it means travellers.

It's an ethnic slur.

It's like Americans who watch soccer and say "cheers mate".

Just cringe.

Horatius Dumpp's avatar

Yes, that is part of the story. But it was commonly used in America not so long ago. I understood its meaning immediately. It doesn't look "cringe" (a word that was until recently a verb) to me.

Perkins's avatar

In America it means lazy, doing a job half-way, etc. My Father in-law taught me that word. It's one of the only things I like about him.

JDJAWS's avatar

Brennan is loathsome and vile.

Doohmax's avatar

Its pretty simple. The nation's top investigative agency and its leadership and the nation's intelligence service and its leadership worked together to influence a Presidential election, using known false information and then continued the influence campaign against an elected President. I'm not sure what the legal term for that would be, but it's damn sure a serious breach of the legal mandate of these agencies and their leadership.

Lynne Morris's avatar

This is ghe logical result of allowing the twain to meet after 9/11. You had foreign intelligence agencies and agents who by definition see potential malfeasance everywhere coupled with the most advanced law enforcement agency and agents in the nation. It was guaranteed that tactics previously only deployed overseas would now be deployed against Americans.

P.S.'s avatar

Absolutely & members of Congress (BOTH parties) never dreamed it could be used against them.

Lynne Morris's avatar

True. Very, very true. I think that is the gist of it -Congress created this monster with the Patriot Act and its progeny after allowing the unfettered growth of the bureaucratic shadow government for decades. There are problems with ghe executive and judicial branches but Congress is basically AWOL. And if a strong Democrat appeared the shadow state would install a weak Republican. This is not a Democrat versus Reoublican issue.

Harland's avatar

The term is sedition, or seditious conspiracy.

Note the absence of the word "theory" there.

Everyone who says treason is a moron.

Treason is defined in the Constitution, which they have never read.

Ellerslie's avatar

I am excited to read this - thanks for being on it. I saw his x posts on Power Line this morning and was curious. One plucky patriot.

cdbsilva's avatar

Awesome report. Thanks for going after this story like a crock on a wildebeest. Tenacity is the only way we will ever get the truth about Brennan and his ilk. Great work, Matt.

Kathleen McCook's avatar

This was the belly of the beast-- The venue is named for Hayden. [retired General Michael V. Hayden, was former CIA Director (2009–2013) and NSA Director (1999–2005)]. He was one of the panelists on stage at the "The Directors" event alongside John Brennan and James Clapper. The confrontation between Thomas Speciale and John Brennan was hosted by 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲'𝐬 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐕. 𝐇𝐚𝐲𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 on October 30, 2025.

Frank Lee's avatar

If this all were a Hollywood movie Brennan plays a clear evil villain and yet he is a celebrity for the Democrat cabal.

That is the biggest takeaway for me. Democrats harbor evil villains to power their political ambitions.

Sidney Greenstreet

P.S.'s avatar

Brennan would be the stoolie & Comey the slicked-back-haired villian..

David Lee's avatar

Matt - this is one of the best and most timely stories you've ever written. It says a lot that Speciale got on the horn with you first thing this morning to provide this back channel. All we knew was videos floating around on X. Observation: I think Thomas Speciale is rockin a Stella Artois while getting poked in the chest by Brennan? In a different era I'd say it was a bottle of Becks. You don't see those as much anymore.

Matt - my impression is you spent many days clad in a small room here in San Francisco with Bari Weiss writing the Twitter Files. Bari is now the head of CBS News (and that includes 60 Minutes). This story is investigative journalism 101 built for 60 Minutes. You'd probably have to go back to Mike Wallace (if ever) that they'd do a story like this. But wouldn't it be beautiful if 60 Minutes did an expose with Thomas Speciale - and invite Brennan, Clapper and Comey (and Obama) to rebut him? Of course they wouldn't because they've all "lawyered and PR'd up" getting prepared for the incoming indictments.

I really, really hope Mr. Speciale is right that 1) the Justice Dept. has crossed all their T's and dotted all their I's and have a first class spokesperson in the White to explain it to the American Public (like we're 5th graders) what these spooks did to pull off a seditious conspiracy against America.

WI Patriot's avatar

7th grade would work.

Pbr's avatar

I understand what you are saying and wish it were so. My feeling is that it is so corrupt that nothing will change.

P.S.'s avatar

I have the same feelings. DC-District of Corruption..

michael Griffin's avatar

The thing that I am surprised about is that Brennan was dumb enough to even react and reply. I would think with a criminal referral delivered to the DOJ his attorneys would have told him not to speak about anything on the subject

Easy to say that I won’t comment on that because it might be part of a lawsuit

Gilgamech's avatar

It is indeed the action of an incredibly entitled arrogant prick, who believes (knows?) he is above the law, to rise to the bait like that.

Tim's avatar

That was my thought. This guy was our top spy, numerous lies delivered to Congress, and he couldn’t keep his cool in a “collegial” setting? Methinks this is a sign he knows he is f*cked…and he did it to himself!

CC's avatar

Brennan is arrogant clearly

Tom Paquelet's avatar

Brennan thinks he’s untouchable. I hope they nail his sorry keister to the wall.

michael Griffin's avatar

I hope so as well. All of these guys would be caught dead to rights on crimes that the statute of limitations has run out on though. Comey gets away with lying to the FISA court on that basis.

Andre's avatar

Spanberger is running in Virginia, not Maryland.

Matt Taibbi's avatar

Yep, sorry, fixed...

BD's avatar

Thanks for all of this, Matt.

I live in a real democracy and we had our most important elections yesterday. https://www.latribune.ca/actualites/2025/11/03/dans-les-coulisses-de-la-victoire-de-marie-claude-bibeau-GCLHBBCNQBG6LBMQSJDVXJMRHM/elections yesterday. is Mayor of Sherbrooke and https://montrealgazette.com/opinion/columnists/hanes-martinez-ferrada-tells-montrealers-i-heard-you

I remember when New York City wasn't so wormy. I am a Zionist who supports social democracy. Orwell in 1945 said a Jewish Israel would be Fascist who knew Nazis like Bibi , Ben Gvir, Miller and Loomer would have so much power. I know NY21 Lise Stefanik didn't win on her Jewish Identity like Chuck Schumer. I remember when Ogdensburg and Plattsburgh were rich and the parking lots were full. We stole all your stuff and Montreal and Ottawa are wealthy because we are socialists in a land where healthcare, education and welfare are HUMAN RIGHTS not Roman privileges. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlofnxJxMIQ&list=RD7aKh160rzvQ&index=12

Did you refer to Canada as a real democracy???

Reid's avatar

As an embarrassed Canadian I apologize for my countrymen's Montreal delusion. It isn't. We are still being governed by the UK financially and being policy directed by woke Globalists. As typical we are behind the US growth/sanity by at least a year from where you are. Think mid- Biden years -- thats where we are-- oh but add more Fentanyl.

Heidi Kulcheski's avatar

I source my opinion from having lived in this god godforsaken country for 58 years. A good democracy it is not, it is a 3rd rate shitty democracy!

If nothing comes of this, and I pray something does, tens of millions of Americans will have been educated on just how corrupt that city on a hill is. Trust in the education system, medical industry, Israelis' influence, politicians insider trading, the awful progressive move toward violence, 2 tiered justice, all of it has been exposed.

again, putting the pieces together in such a way that we mortals can begin to understand it.

You've got a big shovel Matt and thankfully you've got a strong back and a wilful countenance to dig into this.

Thank you for putting this together for us. Not sure but I think this qualifies as a first rate shitshow.
