Did you see the piece on CNN's website yesterday which attempted to argue that the lockdowns didn't actually happen? Much of the article was quibbling over the meaning of the term "lockdown". They are still trying to re-write the history.
Please include the difference between gain of function as a technical term vs gain of function as a layman's term.
It seems once it is established that the technical term guards against the many legal consequences, the discussion around the laymans term can happen more clearly.
Fauci’s legalistic definition is neither the technical nor the common sense definition. The loopholes in it are “likely” and “human”. Even then I would argue that he violated even his own gerrymandered definition. The virus by design infected mammals that are used as a model for the human immune system.
