…and Heather Cox Richardson wonders why normal Americans absolutely loathe white liberal women.

BearCub777's avatar

You said it. What the actual fuck do you have to be on to pull those ephemeral threads of association out of thin farty air and then weave them into ....LYNCHING. JTFC

BookWench's avatar

They're all obsessed with lynchings, slavery, and Nazis.

That's all they have.

Victor Yanez's avatar

Well, Democrats are famous for their LYNCHINGS.

I know nothing about any of this but would guess they mean the enjoyment of violence as entertainment.

NASCAR is violence?

Ms. Richardson and her ilk are shocked, shocked I tell you, that the White House grounds have been debased by UFC fighting. Can you imagine what they might say if some President were, for example, to have had sex with an intern just around the corner from the Oval Office? Now, that would debase the White House.

C.C. 95's avatar

Or have interns having gay sex in the House of Representatives? Or Trannies flashing their breasts on the white house lawn?

Vicki C.'s avatar

Or how about finding an unclaimed stash of cocaine that oddly enough no one knows how it got there LoL.

Dazed and Confused's avatar

Precisely. Did these paragons of moral virtue have anything to say about those incidents?

Pat Robinson's avatar

Those are all protected actions in the eyes of the woke progressive because they are performed by oppressed demographics. You are just not seeing it thru their eyes. I guarantee they would also not be upset if you set up a gender affirming care clinic on the lawn and start mutilating 12 year old mental patients.

MDM 2.0's avatar

How about trans "women" flaunting their bare breasts on the White House lawn?

France's avatar

Wasn't that hastily condemned?

MG's avatar

Was it? Was Biden asked to apologize for it, or any other prominent Dem?

KHP's avatar

And that itself is small potatoes compared to some of the stuff JFK got up to.

I gather Andrew Jackson hosted cock fights, while Teddy Roosevelt hosted boxing matches.

Meh. I feel there's a bit of overthinking here. I don't think UFC has much to do with it; it's just that they hate Trump.

Had Trump organized a Vivaldi concert instead, that would've been "the impulse that really pushed lynching in the late 19th century", just the same.

Matt Taibbi's avatar

That would be hilarious. A Debussy-Paul Klee festival or something…

RSgva's avatar

Trump actually loves music, has perfect pitch etc. – – but the music industry seems to be trying to blackmail anybody who wants to perform there.

Mrs. McFarland's avatar

Melania hosts The Nutcracker over the Holidays for underprivileged children….

jtragic's avatar

I really wish Trump would heartily endorse some of the left's sacred cows ...

Rather Curmudgeonly's avatar

Oh that would be a mindfuck for them. How quickly they'd have to divest one of their shibboleths.

Lisa's avatar

Brilliant! The only way to get rid of HCR would be for Trump to praise her to the stars!

EVOTWIN1999's avatar

If Trump had organized a Vivaldi concert, we would be looking for body snatcher pods behind the White House.

It makes more sense when you realize that the American, organized "resistance" left has really few directives beyond "make sure you PWN the chuds".

She is truly fucking insane and paranoid to the Nth degree, but somehow has this air of respectability. Her entire shtick is basically summing up 4 hours of MSNBC in an essay that you can read in about 15 minutes. Hell, she might have been writing their shit for them. She and Maddow are our two "respected conspiracy theorists, who'll just say any crazy nonsense with zero pushback."

Mrs. McFarland's avatar

How is it that HCR is touted to be a Constitutional scholar??

MG's avatar

She has so many subscribers, which amazes me.

Trump keeps doing this stuff to keep them at peak deplorable hysteria. It’s hilarious.

Those lynchings that plagued the Jim Crow south, where the victim lived and got paid a $3 million lynch purse

Petey Kay's avatar

I had to think about that one for a minute!

Mark's avatar

I still don't get it.

Petey Kay's avatar

The UFC fighters are getting handsomely paid for being the subjects of today's equivalent of "lynching".

Lawyers Guns & Money's avatar

$3 million is pretty light for that setting.

My hunch is she's a nepo baby who has had little exposure as child, and apparent less as an adult (never mind interest) understanding the other side of the tracks. Those who were around during Watergate will have the thought that "Cox" plus "Richardson" (if her birth name) isn't likely Scotch-Irish, and will look further... To wit:

Here's Wikipedia' "early life" intro:

"Heather Cox Richardson was born on October 8, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Maine. She attended Phillips Exeter Academy and later earned her AB, MA, and PhD from Harvard University."

Presumably she stumbled upon Philips Exeter because NH is just one state over from Maine? And Preparation H indicates little intellectual wanderlust (not to mention external competition), but who am I to judge?

Here's DuckAI, unannotated:

"Heather Cox Richardson was born in Chicago in 1962 and raised in Maine, but her parents' names and details are not publicly available in the provided web search content."

Not a good PR look, Heather. It appears she's now thrashing because the has discovered that she's on a sinking ship, but doesn't actually have the intellectual ability to fashion a constructive path out of her echo chamber.

The experiment of placing women in positions of authority has failed. Utterly failed. We keep pretending it is something else, but our women are out of control.

Masculine cultures see that we put our women in charge and see us as weak and ineffective.

Heather Cox Richardson is a real life Wicked Witch, literally.

There, I said it.
