Newspapers have always been partisan however the alphabet networks have totally abandoned any pretense of objectivity. Not a single one of them has even questioned Fauci’s judgment or ethics. The diaries have gotten the same treatment as the Hunter laptop. Turn them off and scold their advertisers.
I am concerned that in making Dr Fauci the evil genius ,and focusing only on him, all the politicians who opted to cover their asses by following his suggestions without any recognition that their job is bigger than being the handmaid of one expert, escape accountability.
I think particularly of Andrew Cuomo's "if it saves one life" - no public policy can be designed that offers 100% safety. Any belief that you can is delusional.
Why were our constitutional protections overridden so casually? What can we do to ensure that doesn't happen again?
I still don't understand how Hollywood and the left can vilify the CDC/FDA/NIH/etc via the award winning movie Dallas Buyers Club and simultaneously deify Fauci, who was key factor in the reason the DBC had to be founded. He was a glory hound then, too.
I care not about the man. Having worked with former NIH scientists (and scientists in general) they are just as depicted in Oppenheimer and The Big Bang Theory, among others. Arrogant, righteous, narcissistic aholes that care not one wit for humanity - it's all about the glory and name recognition.
I care about what is going on in an agency that included - and then was led by - a man such as this. Time for a review of all the CDC/NIH work product and resume's. Could be very interesting to find out what else they've been up to.
One of the reoccurring themes in the Fauci's diary is that if you praise and complement him, he likes you. And if you are famous/powerful and you praise and complement him, he really really likes you.
Conversely, if you question or contradict him, he really really really doesn't like you.

Actually, I made that change by extrapolating the measles situation where measles vaccine is 98% effective whereas SARS-CoV-2 is 94-95% effective. Measles begins to lose herd immunity at around 89-90% of population vaccinated and so I brought up the SARS-CoV-2 to 85% with the range being 70 to 85%. For that he called me a "liar" Big hypocrite as he continues to kiss Trump's ass -- the world's biggest liar.

Then Don Lemon fast-forwarded to their statements recently in which they acted like January 6th never occurred. For example, former vice president Pence said that January 6th was a creation and fabrication of the media . This is astounding that these lies can be said without blinking an eye. I am concerned in some respects about myself and my safety even though I have security. However, I am even more concerned about whether our democracy will survive.

So to tie this back to your original post, I'm starting to think that Fauci lasted in government as long as he did is because he is so easily manipulated, and that the government and media chorus of endless effusive praise and foot rubs for Fauci was just making the robot do what they wanted.
A few twists of history and his diary might be full on MAGA. It just came down to who was praising and who was criticizing.

We have a granddaughter who lost her central vision in the fall of 2020 and just recently in talking to a Dr. who came to our house with my husband's Humana plan, we mentioned this sad event. He seemed to "get it" and gave it a possible name. As I understood him, because of the vaccine, her eyesight might have been affected with Micro Embolyc Disease (spelling?) . Sharyl Attkisson, on a FB post, mentioned that ANY possible adverse vaccine reactions should be noted. Now the question is, how even our granddaughter's condition can be noted in a data bank. Keep up the good work, and somehow break through the terrible media that is controlling so much in our country and the world.
If your grand daughter's vision problem happened in the Fall of 2020, there is no chance that it is due to the Covid vaccine. Vaccines were not generally available until 2021. Unless she was one of the volunteer test subjects starting in mid-late 2020. And depending on her age - that is 5 years ago - it was many months before vaccines were approved for kids - the under 18s

As satisfying as it may be for Covid skeptics such as myself to anticipate the downfall of Anthony Fauci, we must not forget that he was only able to do the damage he did because a thoroughly rotten system required someone with his special skills; and that system will still be in place when he is gone. Where to begin? Let’s start with the regulatory capture of organizations like the CDC, DHS, and FDA by the pharmaceutical industry. Then there is the partnership between Big Pharma and the military-industrial complex. Perhaps the most fundamental problem is the persistent tendency to view medical interventions such as surgery and drugs as the default response to so many of our ills, both physical and emotional.
