Since we were talking about lyrics and playing a ukulele , isn't it obvious I was alluding to Kansas the band? Kerry Livgren (from Kansas (the state) was a musical and lyrical genius.(IMO) As far as Baseball, I am a Braves , Mets and Yankee fan. On football, more into College games than Professional.
04/02/25: "Obvious" --- one never knows, do one? I always ask because the ambiguous pronouns, etc. plague us all.
As for the Mets, watch for Soto to fail ala Aaron Rodgers with the Jets (I don't care either way about Soto; no opinion).
Yanks gave up 9 runs when they won 20-9 last weekend. Everybody was happy about the "20" and few realized that if one's pitching and defense can so easily yield 9 runs, trouble lies ahead.
There is no such thing any longer as "non-professional college football." It's a gruesome sight to see some players getting paid and others are "playing" for free; even worse, these are the least mature people imaginable. Handing them millions of dollars is printing free passes to Armageddon. Look for a notable number of colleges and universities, without big downers, being eventually forced by sheer economics to cancel their football programs.
Thank you for your patience, wading through all this, and God Bless Kansas, the receptive host for Andre Maurois [1885-1967] when he was a refugee from Hitler's France in the 1940s.
04/01/25: Do you play a ukelele during the singing of the above lyrics?
Don
Yes,I probably could but the leads would be tough...
Are you a Kansas fan?
04/02/25: The Royals, the Chiefs, or the musical band?
