"The end is nigh!" screeched the climate change activists... back in 2010, and 2000, and 1995, and 1980, and 1970, and...

Before that, they were sacrificing children to appease the weather gods and shaking rain sticks. Claims about what we need to do to improve the weather are the longest-running scam in human history.

But what if we didnтАЩt need to kill people over oil anymore? Or the leader of the free world didnтАЩt have to kiss Saudi Venezuela ass ever time thereтАЩs an oil whoopsie daisy. Also, speaking of fuck the environment, did you know wind mills are slaughtering birds? I bet you could sell tickets for that! The tears of environmental folks could give us more hydroelectric. But yeah no more regime change wars for oil. Americans are stupid but are we that stupid?

Yes, but in the 70s the imminent doom was another Ice Age!!!

Cooling. Warming. Changing. Warming causing cooling. It's all unfalsifiable rubbish.

Smarter at 17 than most at 60! (I assume he's much older now but had to show respect for his wisdom!)

Even though the global mean temp has only increased .4 degrees since 1978, exactly why is there mass neurosis over warming? Other than the hysterical, wildly-unsubstantiated conjectures of "scientists" seeking research grants.

Slow your roll, manтАжthe acceptable wording is no longer тАЬglobal warming.тАЭ ItтАЩs now тАЬclimate change.тАЭ ЁЯШЖ

That way, its proponents can flip-flop their positions if the ice age decides to rear its ugly head like it did back in the 1970тАЩs.

So itтАЩs a world wide conspiracy to take money from the fossil fuel industry and give it to the green energy industry?

"Conspiracy?" No, it's right out in the open. Looting by politics with a constituency gullible enough to fall for anything.

Think about how stupid the American voter is when just looking at the last 3 years. They emboldened pointless and destructive lockdowns, advocated mandatory injections, support censorship, and now they are advocating for war with Russia. This country is brimming with absolute imbeciles who fall for every hysteria fed to them.

I wrote a long reply but there was an error and it didnтАЩt post. IтАЩm in Korea. I have been for the past 10 years. Climate change is only debated in the US. Everyone else believes the scientific evidence. All the covid19 related stuff you complained about was implemented here to a greater extent and as of today Korea is over 20k deaths. Since everyone followed the guidelines here as a collective they worked.

Spend sometime in another country and youтАЩll gain perspective.

There is no significant correlation between lockdowns and mask mandates and lower mortality. That analysis is well-documented. On the other hand, we have 250,000,000 people pushed to near starvation due to the supply chain disruption of lockdowns. But the lockdowns made people feel like they were doing something, so that's ok.

There is nothing rational that can be done about global warming. The remedies are vastly more destructuve than the malady.

lol If we had more starvation the obesity crisis wouldnтАЩt have exacerbated Covid deaths. Thanks government over reach!

So when a Director of a German Max Planck Institute (their top research organization) writes the following, that does not count as debate? The magnitude of the CO2 effect has huge uncertainty. "Equilibrium climate sensitivity to a doubling of CO2 falls between 2.0 and 4.6 K in current climate models, and they suggest a weak increase in global mean precipitation. Inferences from the observational record, however, place climate sensitivity near the lower end of this range and indicate that models underestimate some of the changes in the hydrological cycle. These discrepancies raise the possibility that important feedbacks are missing from the models." http://dx.doi.org/10.1038/ngeo2414

If the science was unbiased, we would expect the estimation errors to roughly equal over and under. But the "climate change" models always, always, always over-estimate the warming feedbacks, often by an order of magnitude. Hmm. I call b.s.
