This is all Democrats excel at doing - uttering lies so absurd, you'd have to be completely polluted and constantly inhaling fumes that your eyes roll back in your head to get anywhere close to believing them.
It’s happening in Paramount, CA - an LA community that is over 80% Hispanic and untold number of protesters/rioters who are legal Americans — but their parents ain’t. If my momma was in danger of deportation I might riot too. But, that’s what the majority of USA voted for - so all the sins of past parties letting all the illegals in to fill low-wage jobs for years and years (both D & R’s, but most recently D’s!) — this is the FAFO time. I say bring it. It’s long overdue and a necessary machination of America’s 4th Turning reset.
I feel for them, but there have been quite a few who had previous chances and many years to do the right thing. Certainly, if they have legal children and relatives, they would have had a good chance to be successful.
It's too bad, but it is time to start redirecting jobs and services back to legal americans.
Edit to add, as a cook, I have never blamed the illegals for taking the jobs, only the owners who exploit them. Anyone employing an illegal needs to be prosecuted to the utmost extent.
I love hard working Mexican people. I count many as dear friends. Many of them also share my Christian faith, and values, which further binds us. These are Americans that have assimilated like the rest of us lighter skinned citizens. We are a great and glorious melting pot, and equal’s. I love that about our nation. The time has come however for a reset. Cesar Chavez himself was opposed to unfettered illegal immigration, as it depressed wages for those already naturalized. We need immigrants for sure. But means tested at the front door.
Well said, Matt! I have had great experiences with the Mexican people who have worked on my property, and I think that Mexican immigrants will contribute a lot of value to our country. But no country or town can thrive or even survive without regulation of the volume of new people, especially if their desire to assimilate is low.
Hell yes. And best comment so far. If plant managers in meat packing plants in little Midwest towns start going to prison, the problem is fixed overnight.
I’m a little less enthusiastic about small businesses barely getting by doing it. It’s wrong, but it’s not corporate policy to break the law like it is at too many subsidiary companies of huge corporations.
Prosecuted? Why? Some of the best cooks I ever trained were illegal. And some of them bought homes here. And some finally got their green cards and even became citizens. And some didn’t. But that was back when illegal immigration was but a trickle. Many of those people are still hoping to get their green cards and none of them ever got a free apartment, free healthcare or even a free meal. At this point most all of that lot should just be offered their green cards rather than being kicked out. They are more American than many of us, and, like my Italian ancestors, are willing to do jobs Americans won’t do—and do them well. Of course, the ones who don’t fit that mold should still be kicked out.
Americans have been ruined by the philosophy that there are jobs they should find below themselves. I worked as a cook in all manner of restaurants for 40 years, loved my profession, and never shirked dishwashing or toilet cleaning. My family were tenant farmers in the midwest, some worked in steel mills, some as healthcare as in wiping butts healthcare. I grew up in a factory town and until the jobs were moved to Mexico, people lived pretty well and shit like race was not a problem.
The problem is the cultural conditioning of Americans to be lazy and work averse.
To be fair, we’ve made it easy for the employers to marginalize American workers. I had a lot of bad jobs on the 1970s before the immigration wave- mostly as a student. My co-workers included HS drop outs, alcoholics, ex-cons, as well as working class Americans bouncing around. We were pretty unreliable- people quit all the time or didn’t show up, and integrating student labor was challenging as working hours and times of year for work were limited. Then again, hiring people wasn’t that hard, either. Strangely, the economy was bad but low level jobs were easy to get and easy to quit.
Enter a massive illegal workforce. Usually Harder-working, more reliable (thankful for tbe job and shows up every day, all day) and often cheaper, too, as they aren’t legal.
Now it is very difficult for itinerant Americans and students to get those sorts of jobs so they go on disability and play video games or whatever,
Really easy for the employer. Cheap, reliable labor is so good that they don’t invest in machinery to automate grape harvesting or meat packing like many other countries have. The US doesn’t build a robotics or machine tool industry because, hey- we have cheap humans to do the work.
Not sure this has left the US in a good place. I think we need to get high school students working and our employers need to invest in training and apprenticeships and capital equipment. I want to keep the law abiding, working immigrants as most of them are good people. It is not their fault that we made it easy for employers to profiteer. Almost as if the US had its own Hukuo system.
Or maybe they just want a bit more money for these jobs, because they're not on the dole, and they are less likely to be mistreated by employers who can threaten to call ICE on them.
If there was any hope that immigration laws would be enforced going forward and that judges would restrain the lawless executive orders causing millions to stream across the border - I think most Americans would favor naturalization of law abiding immigrants already here (criminals should be expelled). We could then even establish a global immigration program (annual cap) for workers who speak some English, have a high school education, etc- drawing from Latin America but also Africa, Asia and Europe - that way we preserve the melting pot idea rather than creating an immigrant monoculture. This could be a time-limited visa renewable based upon work history and good behavior.
For such an idea to work, there has to be rule of law, security at the border and enforcement (illegals get expelled, people who overstay get expelled, employers hiring illegals get prosecuted). The Dems are opposed to all of the above and will simply ignore laws by executive decree. As a result, no such system can ever be created. Thanks, Biden. Thanks, Obama. Thanks, judges.
BS on that "willing to do jobs Americans won't do."
Americans ARE willing to do these jobs -- they just want more money.
My dad had his own janitorial service, for which I worked; my niece and her daughter clean houses for a living; my sister & her friend cleaned houses for years; I spent years changing diapers & cleaning toilets at a day care center. Illegal aliens have pretty much taken over landscaping and construction jobs, because they can be easily exploited, and because their families are collecting government benefits.
Only a small percentage of agricultural workers are here illegally, yet I see that Trump has promised to take care of all his wealthy businessmen buddies by relaxing the rules for farm workers, hotel workers, & others. What many fail to realize is that while these illegal aliens "do the jobs that Americans just won't do," they're also either using stolen ID's (including Social Security numbers), or collecting government benefits for their American-born children.
Illegal aliens in California are eligible for many benefits that are denied to US citizens of Mexican descent. This nonsense has gone too far, and it's time for it to end.
There was also a temp worker model back then. People would work 2-3 jobs, send their money home and retire after 10-12 years. Earning in dollars and spending in pesos / R$ was a good deal for everyone. Now we have a social services model. Everyone is an ‘undocumented American’ with full benefits and privileges. No amount of taxpayer largesse is too much to welcome our new fellow citizens. Only, being Catholic and in most senses conservative, their vote is far from predictable. To understate approaching irony, they’re also not intersectionalists. During 30 years as a cook I’d repeatedly tell academic and office worker friends that assuming immigrants would fall into line was hubris and would one day bite them in the ass. Lately, everyone is a lot less smug.
If my momma was in danger of deportation, I would keep my head REALLY fucking low.
Or maybe I should go protest, because, well, Trump mean! Bad! And if I get arrested and they come take momma away, I can complain all day. But best to shit up and stay home.
What's "legal Americans"? If I had parents with no legal status, I would've processed their family green cards long time ago. But rioting sounds like more fun. Let's have more trolls justifying rioting.
Legal American? WTF is that? You’re either an American (by birth or by naturalization) or you’re not. There is no such thing, as far as I know, as a “legal American”. If there were, then they would have to be such a thing as an “illegal American. “ and what would that be?
Rioters in Paramount are possibly in more danger of being run down in a "takeover" by street racers looking to do "donuts" in the intersections.
The ICE "show of force" seems to be seeking out people who should be very low priority, but the "sanctuary" policies at the City and State level here make it a lot harder than it should be for them to round up the actual criminals, because the State/local policies include orders for jails and prisons to not comply with Federal laws requiring them to contact ICE when illegals who have been convicted of crimes are being released after serving their sentences. Sweeping up day laborers and service sector workers isn't likely making anyone markedly safer, but it's easer than trying to raid stash-houses or gang clubhouses.
Hey, with Chinese students from Wuhan studying at University of Michigan getting caught with agricultural pathogens, the next issue we have may be with our food supply. Makes me wonder about covid, was it really an accident….
it's racist to say that covid came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Obviously it came from Chinese people eating bats at a wet market down the street from the aforementioned Institute.
I spent a lot of time in Asia - where the general public demands a great deal more respect for private and public property, not to mention public servants. Here's part of an email exchange with a pal who similarly lived among the "barbarians" of the east.
'I’m always astonished at the lack of respect for private and public property on display regularly in the “civilized" west.
'As soon as one takes a hammer to a concrete post, or wall, (public or private) to produce projectiles to hurl at police, or just f around, one gets arrested, put in jail, then a beating, and then a fine - a la Singapore with the admonition from a benign, but firm civil government that this act of good will and leniency extends to first-time offenders only.
'The object is deterrence, not punishment.
'Draw clear lines so individuals can make better decisions. The chap in the video needs all four incentives, not just one. Far too easy to forget just a punch in the face. Bring in the Sikh and administer 3-30 across the back, jail time and the fine.
'Gandhi threw the British out of India by making salt and his own clothes. But of course he was serious. MLK changed America by remaining actively and aggressively peaceful in the face of the most incendiary provocations. Ditto.
'Turns out the 79 phones at the LA riots have been traced back to Brentwood etc, folks flying 3-4 times a year - bored rich kids cosplaying people of principle destroying the property and lives of the lawful and industrious.
'Meanwhile, the president of Mexico’s senate displayed a map indicating where the wall should be built.- somewhere north of San Francisco.
'I say return Martha’s Vineyard, Toronto, and Vancouver to the original owners now. Time to put our money where our mouths are.
What's blowing my mind right now is that Democrats, esp in Cali, really seem to believe that no one should ever be deported, no matter their immigration status and no matter if they've been convicted of a felony.
And then they also seem to believe that once someone from anywhere makes it here they should be entitled to receive free doctors and lawyers, plus free food and maybe a free place to stay. (Free to them, that is, but billed to the taxpayers.)
And that anyone who disagrees with any of this is a hard-hearted fascist-adjacent bigot.
I'm guessing in response they'd say: you can deport someone but only if they're approached gently and politely, not arrested in the street by militarized police, and also after they receive "due process", which means at least one hearing before a judge and maybe an appeal, all with state-provided representation. Which essentially means: only a small trickle of people will ever be deported, after the govt navigates multiple procedural hurdles.
Am I missing something? Can this really be the official policy of one half our elected reps? Am I crazy or have the Democrats become so crazy that it's kind of hard to believe what they're saying? Crazy times!
Census data is used to apportion tax dollars for programs. Immigration status is not taken into account. It's to the benefit of the CA grift machine that as many people are counted as 'residents' - legal or otherwise - so as to continue the parasitic Hoovering up of tax dollars by various NGOs that 'service the community'.
This is exactly why the Census question “Are you a citizen?” was removed and kept off of the 2020 census. We do not have blue states, only blue cities.
Correction: "they also seem to believe that once someone from anywhere makes it here ILLEGALLY they should be entitled...". The legal immigration system is based on a rule that they let you in only with a proof that you can provide for yourself (have a job, money, sponsor, booked a hotel room etc) and won't depend on public support. But if you came illegally, it's a different story.
ICE raids could've been easily avoided if California wasn't a sanctuary state. Pick up criminals directly from police custody. If not, enjoy the raids.
"Pick up criminals directly from police custody. If not, enjoy the raids." Shouldn't be so hard to understand...
(I still have my grandfather's Ellis Island papers and he needed to list where he would live, where he would work, who was his sponsor, plus show proof of good health. But that was over a century ago.)
Have my grandparents papers, on my mother's side. Huge family but most of the males died doing railroad work or in the flu epidemic. But everyone had their documentation and were proud of it even though many were learning what all the English words meant. In the end, they were proud to have done so.
My grandpa came from Italy around 1910 then went back to fight there as a member of the US military 30 yrs later...He and his siblings felt enormously grateful to America and were deeply patriotic.
That part about "you can deport someone but only if they're approached gently and politely.." They are not saying that. What they are saying within earshot of me is: "White people have no idea how much brown and black people suffer, the horrible conditions they have to live in, so they have no compassion for people who have to escape those places." "Look at how Trump is so sympathetic to those white people in South Africa, just because they're white, even though they aren't suffering at all."
I always say that modern liberalism has become a reflexive faith centered on victim worship and rooted in white guilt and white saviorism—and I thought I was just being cynical...I encourage all those people you overheard to give up their homes and paychecks to the Wretched of the Earth, but a govt and its laws can't really be founded on compassion for the imagined Other and the "rectification of historical injustice".
One half of our citizens seem to believe that the purpose of govt is to help people from other countries!
I keep forgetting to use that response (stated of course in the most sincere, serious tone), "Have you considered opening your home to a few migrant families?" Unfortunately, up here in Wokeville people have actually tried to do that. About 10 years ago, when the bums were starting to spread out from downtown into gentrified old neighborhoods across the river, a friend told me that her next door neighbor had invited one of the dumpster divers to move into their basement. The neighbors had previously been very critical of my friend for not enabling the bums to forage from her recycling bins, and they were apparently eager to demonstrate their moral superiority. Needless to say, the neighbors' new tenant rapidly wore out even their perfect forbearance, and they had a lot of difficulty prying him out of their home. The lesson did not immediately sink into the closed minds of other neighbors, however, so it had to be repeated for a few years. The stubborn holdouts finally had to accept the humiliating idea that if they wanted to protect their multimillion dollar properties, they would have to learn how to be less saintly. My friend never did receive an acknowledgement of their abuse of her, let alone an apology, but hey, she herself is still "a Progressive."
You have got to be kidding me. Do you have any idea how bad South Africa is for one and you are talking about maybe a few thousand immigrants from SA versus 20 million hispanics. Anything works when you are playing the race card
Yep! Made me wonder how many black and brown people would have to pour into our country before a white refugee would finally be offered a place in the line.
Americans, as wonderful as many are, seem bent on reducing the quality of life for all through intellectual, physical, and moral cowardice.
How can boys be permitted to compete with girls in sports? How is this even an issue? Responsible drug-taking? Who do we think brings the foreign nationals, cocaine, and fentanyl, child sex workers etc. across the border. The Red Cross? And for whom?
Cartels control much of the western US with the willing and eager support of white, wealthy "well-educated" liberals and equally amoral "conservatives" keen to exploit the weak and the vulnerable for their own amusement and gain.
We get the society we deserve. If we don't respect ourselves, our own kids, and our own communities, why should anyone else?
Democrats have 50 "fraudulent" congressional seats due to illegals. That's roughly 760 k illegals per seat.
The left is not mad about the criminal illegals being rounded up and deported. They are mad at their shrinking illegal voter base vis-à-vis illegals being counted in the census.
Of course, both of all our liberal friends would deny that or call it a conspiracy theory, but it's true.
What's disgusting is the repubtards have knowingly allowed that to happen for nearly 4 decades.
This must be addressed. Or as Tacitus said we'll end up here;
This. This is why I stopped supporting the Democrats 8 years ago. If Democrats even made slight gestures towards "We should deport felons who are here illegally", it would help their cause. But they won't even say that. Ludicrous.
How will the US Census in 2030 shake out for places like California and New York, places with sanctuary cities for illegals, that are losing their US citizens for safer, cheaper, saner states? Maybe its all about holding onto power by increasing their body count to maintain congressional seats.
The court costs money, too. That’s an expense billed to taxpayers, who also foot the bill for the public defender, the judges wages, the court reporter, the clerks…..
I have a friend in California thatvus totally unhinged. He is using the talking points of legacy media and tge narrative of the democrats. He says he is fighting fascism. I just watch his posts and shake my head
Yes, but it's not just Democrats. The Chamber of Commerce -- far more supportive of Republicans -- wants customers and cheap labor, and nothing else matters to them.
Jfc, the 5th and 14th amendments. Read them. They guarantee due process rights even to those here illegally. You might despise our Constitution, but it doesn't despise you.
As far as the Fifth Amendment, it is mostly about criminal charges and trials, which I don't think anyone has proposed stripping from any illegal aliens. Everyone charged with a crime has all the same rights.
It does say "nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law", but the due-process standard is different for citizens and foreigners and applied differently.
Here's what I found on an immigration website:
"Defendants accused of an immigration violation do not have the same rights as defendants accused of a crime. That means immigration court defendants are not granted the right to an appointed attorney; the courts do not follow the federal rules of evidence around hearsay; and there is no right to cross-examine accusers."
The 14th Amendment is similar: "nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law."
I don't think there's a single standard about what exact "due process" illegal aliens are entitled to, and I think this has been open to multiple interpretations and multiple challenges.
Also, I don't despise the Constitution, I just realize that the party out of power ALWAYS accuses the party in power of violating it, and also that throughout American history almost every admin has played fast and loose with Constitutional limits—Adams, Lincoln, Wilson and FDR all famously violated civil liberties, and then of course there's George W's Guantanamo Bay and Obama's droning of Afghani weddings.
Currently, the people opposing deportations are demanding strict fealty to the text where everyone here illegally gets the benefit of every doubt, whereas the people who want to deport them are happy to smudge a line here or there. Such is how it's always been...
I will just say to you what I've been saying to everyone who opposes Trump: if liberals won't enforce border controls, then authoritarians will. Biden and his people created a massive social disaster by allowing in millions of unvetted impoverished illegal aliens, this current backlash was very easy to predict, and much of the blame lies with them.
Whenever I read of the devotion to the Constitution I remind myself of the end runs accomplished with regularity since its adoption.
Lysander Spooner was on to it 160 years ago:
“But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist.”
The Manson murders in 1969 occurred in only two houses in LA, but no one thought to evaluate the percentage of the city's real estate involved before deciding if something of great moral and societal import occured. There is no end to the inane and execrable rationalizations the media will employ to advance the chosen narrative.
Been around since before Classical Greece named such "sophists."
I used, in a romantic way, to believe in principled anarchy. But anarchy is only workable at all for the honorable and decent - and all too many aren't.
Gee, one might almost think John Adams was right - our Constitution is only equipped to govern a moral and religious people, and unfit for any other.
Almost makes one think "original sin" might have some validity.
This is the same thing I saw when I lived in Portland back in 2020. Pretty much a repeat of the reporting... mostly peaceful, confined to a small area downtown, etc., etc.... That's when the veil dropped for me.
Looking at the video footage, my mind says, “Here are a lot of boys and young men who need 1) discipline and 2) an outlet for their testosterone-fueled angst. Possible Solution: bring back the draft. And do not exclude undocumented immigrants. If they are to be treated as citizens, the Army is a great place to express that citizenship.
I think that if there are any true journalists left, a random sampling of the people arrested and an analysis of how they pay for: food, cell phone, cell phone service, rent, transportation, medical bills, heat, support of family members, are they paying taxes, car payments, outstanding bills/loans. You know, real world responsibility.
These are things that my wife and I have to deal with.
Cynthia, been saying that for a long time as one of the last Vietnam draftees. Rich, poor, urban, rural, male, female, follow IDF model at 18 you perform country service, no deferments. And wonderful DEI training as all work, live together.
Many find the work rewarding and satisfying -it's the lack of support from those they serve that drives many to seek other forms of employment. Robocop and AI Big Brother are already here to "take care of us and keep us safe."
When we don't step up to defend and police ourselves - we're done.
J6 was in a single building and the immediate vicinity of said building with no fires or property damage. Using these new Dem metrics, J6 should be downgraded to a kerfuffle.
Federal agents served four search warrants and nearly two dozen people were detained outside a Home Depot near MacArthur Park, NBC Los Angeles reported on Friday. The agents also went to two office locations of Ambience Apparel in the downtown area. An LA Home Depot was raided by ICE. Reminiscent of yesterday at Ambience clothing, rioters would not let ICE leave. Vans with migrants and ICE Agents have been trapped for four hours.--Sang Bum “Ed” Noh is identified as the owner of Ambiance Apparel, a company based in the Los Angeles. In 2021, Noh pleaded guilty to conspiracy, money laundering, customs offenses, and filing false tax returns. This stemmed from a scheme where Ambiance Apparel undervalued imported garments to evade over $35 million in customs duties and taxes between 2010 and 2014. The company and Noh agreed to pay over $117 million in fines and restitution (California Apparel News, Sayari). Sentencing: On December 6, 2021, Noh was sentenced to 12 months and one day in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Virginia A. Phillips, with additional penalties for failing to report large cash transactions. https://www.justice.gov/usao-cdca/pr/los-angeles-fashion-district-company-owner-sentenced-one-year-prison-committing-customs
I suppose it's not even surprising that there isn't much difference between the America is always right and America is always wrong crowds.
It might surprise you, but the universe does not revolve around the USA, and Ukrainians (for example) are perfectly capable of making decisions regardless of Nuland's cookies.
It is simply adorable when Americans (i.e. in 99% of the cases people who had never set foot outside of this hemisphere, and only ever saw a Russian, or a Ukrainian on TV, and probably played by an actor anyway) decide to tell people actually from the area how things really are over there.
They were in Ukraine, if that's what your objection.
If you are saying that Ukrainians would not know whether they should like Russians, or hate them, or whatever, without Nuland's cookies, that's on the level of Kamala's ideas about gender or Donald's ideas about international trade laughable.
As disappointing as it might be to the "US is the center of the universe" crowd, people who had lived centuries with and under Russia are perfectly capable of making their own decisions, even if the cookies might have helped a few guys jump up and down on Maidan a bit longer.
In 2014 the US embassy staged a color revolution, however much the trouble was ready they poured gas on the fire.
It might surprise you to know Americans don’t want their government doing this to anyone, nor all this foreign mischief, nor do we want the fsking cursed world (I’ve seen it) only DC craves these things. Nothing would give me and many other Americans greater satisfaction than to break from you all entirely, and you can pursue your endless feuds in peace.
So you are welcome to see off the US embassy, and we’ll see off the Deep State in America.
I am pretty sure I pay Uncle Sam more taxes than you do.
The whole "US staged a color revolution" is such as tired BS by now, it doesn't even fly in Russia anymore, they had to add some horror stories about semi-mythical Ukrainian nazis to it (it's still Uncle Vlad's bullshit, but at least slightly less implausible).
Obviously you have never seen the so-called "defenders of the Russian minority" in Luganda and Donbabwe then. Or an average "Russian patriot" anywhere.
These "activists" are hurting many people who can no longer go to work or carry on their normal activities in the areas. It affects those with the least options and resources, not the "laptop" class. It's beyond the pale that our CA leaders care nothing for their constituents, and have normalized this type of behavior. Also Obama deported about 3 million during his term-get over it. This upside down world view is happening all over Europe as well. All the funding needs to be cut off. And there should be zero tolerance for violence and destruction. The arrogance of these people is astonishing. I hope there are many arrests and pray for the police, ICE, the National Guard and all trying to establish order.
"Only a PART of downtown LA is burning. No cause for alarm."
It reminds of the movie Naked Gun, when Leslie Nielsen, as The Authority, stands in front f a 10 story building engulfed in flames, explosions going off, and says, " There's nothing to see here! Move along!"
Mostly peaceful riots.
Joe Biden is tack sharp.
Inflation is in decline.

Those Venezuelan gangs really aren't that violent. The local Denver police have it under control.

Or maybe they just want a bit more money for these jobs, because they're not on the dole, and they are less likely to be mistreated by employers who can threaten to call ICE on them.
Of course, but then you're special.
Agree with you, Treeamigo. If only..
And how would the nation's prosecuting attorneys go about this?
Also Compton and Paramount are suburbs not even within the City of Los Angeles, so the “only downtown” thing is another in a long string of lies.
If my momma was in danger of deportation, I would keep my head REALLY fucking low.
Or maybe I should go protest, because, well, Trump mean! Bad! And if I get arrested and they come take momma away, I can complain all day. But best to shit up and stay home.
Best for someone like you to shit up and hit the streets.
piss off karen
What's "legal Americans"? If I had parents with no legal status, I would've processed their family green cards long time ago. But rioting sounds like more fun. Let's have more trolls justifying rioting.
“Legal Americans” in my example means a person born on USA soil, but to parents that were (and maybe still are) illegal aliens.
It's still called a "citizen".
Your vernacular is superior and more correct than mine. Yes, born here = ‘citizen’
Legal American? WTF is that? You’re either an American (by birth or by naturalization) or you’re not. There is no such thing, as far as I know, as a “legal American”. If there were, then they would have to be such a thing as an “illegal American. “ and what would that be?
Chill Joe? Legal and illegal are opposites bro. I already admitted my shortcoming.
What's needed are more trolls who can justify, for all of us, the efficacy of trolling you.
Well now, if they really loved their parents, they would go back to Mexi with them!
Or as Sunny Hoston from The View said “ 4 square blocks, it’s only four square blocks”… okay, you clueless bitch.

Hey, with Chinese students from Wuhan studying at University of Michigan getting caught with agricultural pathogens, the next issue we have may be with our food supply. Makes me wonder about covid, was it really an accident….
Safe and Effective!
it's racist to say that covid came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Obviously it came from Chinese people eating bats at a wet market down the street from the aforementioned Institute.
That one was always a major head-scratcher.
Lab leak: racist
Chinese people eat live animals for lunch: kosher.
They need to hire better liars.
Bats are not kosher at all!!
I like mine with lettuce and tomato
Heniz 57 and french fried potatoes
big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer.....
lol exactly!
They are if they’ve been bat mitzvahed.
Pangolin Stew!
You’re right. But can we go a week without relitigating COVID?
No. Nor should we.
Never forget
Hear ya. Maybe if it wasn’t so politicized, like everything else
How about the latest from Nancy Pelosi, i begged Trump for the national guard on January 6
Violence against the constitution!
I spent a lot of time in Asia - where the general public demands a great deal more respect for private and public property, not to mention public servants. Here's part of an email exchange with a pal who similarly lived among the "barbarians" of the east.
https://x.com/RealJamesWoods/status/1932334870908559399
Good times!
We did not blow up the Nordstream Pipeline
DDS. Don't let it ruin your life.
The NGOs that facilitated getting them here in the first place.
🛎️🔨
Correction: "they also seem to believe that once someone from anywhere makes it here ILLEGALLY they should be entitled...". The legal immigration system is based on a rule that they let you in only with a proof that you can provide for yourself (have a job, money, sponsor, booked a hotel room etc) and won't depend on public support. But if you came illegally, it's a different story.
ICE raids could've been easily avoided if California wasn't a sanctuary state. Pick up criminals directly from police custody. If not, enjoy the raids.
yup!
WOP means without papers
It’s a mutant strain of stupid.
"Liberalism is a mental disorder"....Michael Savage
Its straightforward:
Democrats have 50 "fraudulent" congressional seats due to illegals. That's roughly 760 k illegals per seat.
The left is not mad about the criminal illegals being rounded up and deported. They are mad at their shrinking illegal voter base vis-à-vis illegals being counted in the census.
Of course, both of all our liberal friends would deny that or call it a conspiracy theory, but it's true.
What's disgusting is the repubtards have knowingly allowed that to happen for nearly 4 decades.
This must be addressed. Or as Tacitus said we'll end up here;
They make a desert and call it peace.
The D regime in CA believes in nothing but, like other Blue Church cities, the donor class. The virtue signaling crap is only for political optics.
This. This is why I stopped supporting the Democrats 8 years ago. If Democrats even made slight gestures towards "We should deport felons who are here illegally", it would help their cause. But they won't even say that. Ludicrous.
The dems are crazy and are hemorrhaging voters.
May the bleeding continue...
It's the policy of the Constitution, you idiot.
???
Really?
Pls show me, seriously.
Wow. One of the ten people in America that has read Spooner and gets it.
Exactly!
You summed it up perfectly.
You're missing certain executive functions is what you're missing there, Hoss.
JFK had a pretty good day in Dallas on Nov 22, 1963. Only a small part of his head was blown off!
The other passengers in the limo were fine. We all need to calm down.
lol
Too soon.
lol
Lol!!😂
The cops need water cannons with dye to identify the criminals.
Great idea!
Drones with OC spray
Yes, I’m surprised neither side is using them!
Water canons are only for elders & others in freezing temps on the Standing Rock reservation Gary. Agreed. Bring em on withe dye in LA
The Manson murders in 1969 occurred in only two houses in LA, but no one thought to evaluate the percentage of the city's real estate involved before deciding if something of great moral and societal import occured. There is no end to the inane and execrable rationalizations the media will employ to advance the chosen narrative.
Manipulators can spin and twist absolutely anything. It's an unfortunate talent.
Execrable rationalization is the perfect phrase
This is the same thing I saw when I lived in Portland back in 2020. Pretty much a repeat of the reporting... mostly peaceful, confined to a small area downtown, etc., etc.... That's when the veil dropped for me.
Looking at the video footage, my mind says, “Here are a lot of boys and young men who need 1) discipline and 2) an outlet for their testosterone-fueled angst. Possible Solution: bring back the draft. And do not exclude undocumented immigrants. If they are to be treated as citizens, the Army is a great place to express that citizenship.
Funny. My 1st thought was not one of these kids have a 401K. Prove me wrong?
I think that if there are any true journalists left, a random sampling of the people arrested and an analysis of how they pay for: food, cell phone, cell phone service, rent, transportation, medical bills, heat, support of family members, are they paying taxes, car payments, outstanding bills/loans. You know, real world responsibility.
These are things that my wife and I have to deal with.
They were being recruited via Craig’s list. Agitate for $6500 to $13000 per week
At least it's young men this time. I thought they would never put down those video games. Maybe they think that's what this is.
Cynthia, been saying that for a long time as one of the last Vietnam draftees. Rich, poor, urban, rural, male, female, follow IDF model at 18 you perform country service, no deferments. And wonderful DEI training as all work, live together.
Mayhem is fun it soon gets out of hand. Best not to let it start.
Well, how was the play otherwise, Mrs Lincoln?
Like no big deal in Colorado because TdA “only took over a few apartment buildings.”
Watching that video, there is no salary high enough that would make me want to be a cop.
Many find the work rewarding and satisfying -it's the lack of support from those they serve that drives many to seek other forms of employment. Robocop and AI Big Brother are already here to "take care of us and keep us safe."
When we don't step up to defend and police ourselves - we're done.
That's what a lot of cops think!
J6 was in a single building and the immediate vicinity of said building with no fires or property damage. Using these new Dem metrics, J6 should be downgraded to a kerfuffle.
Democracy almost died that day.
Lot of Koreans work in the garment district
Ergo, lawful deportation. Right?
Fools like Bass trying to downplay what's happening.
She’s not a fool. Bass is a senior board member of NED/ National Endowment for Democracies = Color Revolution people.
Victoria Nuland as well.
This is just a mini putt putt version of what happened in Ukraine, Georgia, Syria etc.
I think we'd all like to understand what's fueling the riots but, for my money, a domestic NED backed color revolution seems like a longshot.
Except that Karen Bass sits on NED and in Congress headed their oversight $$$ committee?
Except that we’ve seen this movie many times before?
Except in America- and now elsewhere such as in Georgia, Hungary it’s long known these are paid activists?
Except that the 2020 color revolution against Trump is getting a lame sequel in LA?
How long a shot really?
This is a synthetic protest, as we say in America “it’s Riot Season.”
Look up Los Angeles based chirla
I suppose it's not even surprising that there isn't much difference between the America is always right and America is always wrong crowds.
It might surprise you, but the universe does not revolve around the USA, and Ukrainians (for example) are perfectly capable of making decisions regardless of Nuland's cookies.
You're pretty naive
It is simply adorable when Americans (i.e. in 99% of the cases people who had never set foot outside of this hemisphere, and only ever saw a Russian, or a Ukrainian on TV, and probably played by an actor anyway) decide to tell people actually from the area how things really are over there.
Simply adorable.
Your contention is Madame Nuland’s “cookies” had nothing to do with Ukraine?
Cheers
I am pretty sure I pay Uncle Sam more taxes than you do.
The whole "US staged a color revolution" is such as tired BS by now, it doesn't even fly in Russia anymore, they had to add some horror stories about semi-mythical Ukrainian nazis to it (it's still Uncle Vlad's bullshit, but at least slightly less implausible).
So Bandarists like those in the Azov battalion are what then? I never have seen a non-Nazi proudly wear Nazi symbols like those guys do.
Obviously you have never seen the so-called "defenders of the Russian minority" in Luganda and Donbabwe then. Or an average "Russian patriot" anywhere.
Only politically expedient lives and businesses matter
Hmm.. what else did Bass downplay 🤔
Total nothingburger? How does this crap on repeat still pass for news? Thankful for Racket news!
Some of them deserve the ultimate punishment
"Only a PART of downtown LA is burning. No cause for alarm."
It reminds of the movie Naked Gun, when Leslie Nielsen, as The Authority, stands in front f a 10 story building engulfed in flames, explosions going off, and says, " There's nothing to see here! Move along!"
OJ Simpson played Norbert?
