Why'd you delete your comment?

"The people who complain about free speech while simultaneously being happy to suggest that such actions by the Flordia government are not basically totalitarian have something to sell you. Thanks for the empty rhetoric."

Does the Florida government not have the duty to clear roads for the public?

Do you even know what they were DOING, or was your comment just reflexive outrage that some people don't put up with blocking highways?

Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol said three people were arrested Saturday afternoon accused of obstructing traffic on Interstate 4 near Walt Disney World Resort.

Upon arrival, troopers said they encountered three women who were impeding traffic on the westbound lanes of the interstate at Exit 67 while holding "Free Palestine" signs. All three were apprehended and subsequently transported to Orange County Jail. Following the incident, two vehicles parked on the interstate were towed from the scene.

Exactly how long should police stand by and allow this?

Sadly, when one of the protestors gets injured or, Heaven forbid, killed, they/their families are the first ones to sue everyone that was even tangentially related to that event. I don't understand why we can't/won't go back to logical consequences.

So they should be allowed free reign to block roads?? That is ludicrous.

At this stage in my life, I don't believe in inconveniencing other ppl.

About my original comment, I was referring to what oftentimes happens after someone who is engaging in behavior where s/he might get hurt, that person has turned right around and sued the driver of the car - in the case of blocking roads example - or others who are just trying to go about their daily lives. The person who gets hurt is the one who put him/herself in the dangerous position to begin with. Said person put him/herself into a risky position. S/he should expect the logical consequences to follow.
