The turnout question has a pretty easy answer: enthusiasm on both sides. Rank-and-file Dems *hated* the guy as much as his more supporters liked him. If he's not running in 2024 (and I'd doubt he is), numbers will likely be a lot lower.

As for that thread---it's not compelling, takes wild leaps of logic, and imagines a vast conspiracy I simply don't believe is remotely possible to keep quiet. Trump filed copious lawsuits alleging fraud. Many were ruled on by GOP judges. No substantive rulings occurred.

It's a fairy tale that people tell themselves to feel oppressed. The people flogging it are using it as a way to increase their profiles and grift of incredulous Trump fans. I find it really sad.

Fair enough, we'll just disagree.

All good---apologies if any of that came off shitty. There's a lot of con man energy coming from the "stop the steal" stuff and I hate seeing people taken advantage of. Regardless of what you believe: keep your money when they ask.

Read Trump’s court filings.Giuliani would talk about fraud on the courtroom steps then turn around and file documents openly stating fraud was not being alleged.

I don’t blame people for being dubious. Who should you believe, CNN 😂? But if you run through the cases one by one they just don’t seem to support more than speculation. “She said she saw” isn’t evidence and attorneys who say that in court know that the hearsay rule makes it inadmissible.

I do think the Dems obviously cheat in their primaries, and I’m sure voter protection is about cheating in the future, but I just don’t see the actual facts for 2020.

The funniest thing is they all act like saying a president is illegitimate is out of bounds but spent four years saying that about Trump.
