That is true. It is evidence that the CDC and the Biden administration are pushing more vaccine consumption on Americans that is most likely needed.

Agreed!

It does not change the FACT that there are ZERO health ministries of wealthy democracies that have views on vaccines that align with the Anti Vaxxers. NONE

So the CDC and the Biden administration can be pushing vaccines on us. It does not change the FACT that the ANTI VAXXERS are as Misinformed on vaccines as Trump supporters who claim and claimed he won the 2020 election.

Your trafficking in conspiracy theories and counter-narratives that are products of carefully crafted propaganda campaigns actually makes you a valued ally to forces which you claim to...despise?

Whether you can admit it or not, anti-vaxxers are a small minority whose amplified voices and influence are disproportionate to their actual numbers and influence.

Piketty gets to the crux of the problem in his comment above---by focusing on phantom issues around vaccines you obscure the real and far larger problem of the reach of Big Pharma's deleterious monopoly over the U.S. healthcare system.

You have unwittingly (or wittingly) become a valued asset of Big Pharma.

Lucrezia...

I have a conspiracy to push. I think the vaccine companies are FUNDING the Anti Vax propaganda.. They are using it as a distraction to force people to defend them...

Like in the South when white politicians pushed laws to favor poor whites over poor blacks. That we you divid the poor people...

My ideas is still a CONSPIRICY but i believe it. The biggest THEFT ever is the money these vaccine companies are making off of a vaccine they were paid to create...

I dunno. As a general rule I don't traffic in conspiracies, let along concoct them. Big Pharma, I would think, is BIG enough that that level of cunning is unnecessary.

Conversely, I also would think that at some point Big Pharma became alarmed that the anti-vaxx movement would explode inward, from the periphery, where the American Wild Things operate. For now.

Well i totally admit i am manufacturing a conspiracy here. But the facts are compelling:

- The anti vax movement is well funded and highly effective at getting attention and dividing Americans

- Big Oil was proven to have funded organized efforts to get the public not to believe Climate Changes was real through the use of Psudo Science similar to what the Anti Vax movement is doing. And Big Oil hired the same PR firms that big Tobacco hired to discredit the science around tobacco creating cancer.

- There is no organized movement looking into the obscene amounts of money the Vaccine makers are being paid by the US government. And the left would never partner with the anti vaxxers to protest the prices Big Pharma is charging. The old divide and conquer, just like southern elites did with poor blacks and poor whites to prevent them from teaming together to vote in better wages and entitlements.

Compelling evidence i would say...

Who is actually funding the anti-vaxx movement? I've more or less recused myself from the covid controversies and skirmishes. No interest. I'm aware that anti-vaxx groups predate covid, but from my chair the anti-vaxx movement started and settled down in the republican party, and spread from there.

<<Denmark wont advise any man under 50 to get an MRNA shot unless he has a special health reason to do so (comorbidity, lives with immune-compromised, etc)>> Kat S

This is true. But they did not say this until they hit an 80% "fully vaccinated rate"

https://ycharts.com/indicators/denmark_coronavirus_full_vaccination_rate

The US is no where near 80% vaccinated and that is because of propaganda as reported in numerous research studies.

https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/1368430221992126

So Denmarks views do not align with the anti vax or anti mandate propaganda you are pushing now.

The US has a huge problem with the number of people that have been fully vaccinated relative to Denmark. That is why Denmarks policies are different.

Yes, the researchers at MIT and other places are doing research on misinformation that is being fed to you AND to the Anti Vaxxer who distrusts all vaccines.

The media you consume and clearly trust is a danger to our democracy..

There is a reason the EXPERTS are researching people like YOU and not people like me.....

https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/1368430221992126

"Climate change deniers, anti-vaxxers and anti-GM campaigners: groups of people characterised by sometimes vehement denial of the conclusions of scientific research. This тАЬrejection of scienceтАЭ poses a problem for modern society, the spread of doubt and misinformation from these groups can have negative тАУ and potentially tragic тАУ consequences (Lewandowsky & Oberauer, 2016)"

Honestly if someone does not want to get vaccinated then that is their business.

But when they try to tell me that the "science" is the reason they are not getting vaccinated then that is where i am bothered because there is no health ministry in the world that said people should not get vaccinated. NONE

Mandates are a great discussion topic. I am open to persuasion either way. Just don't tell me some is ati vax because they magically know more about the science than the health ministries of places like the CDC or Canada or Denmark or Japan who ALL went out of their way to insure their population was vaccinated and boosted.

There is no heath ministry in the world that has even a 3 year safety profile for the brand new mRNA technology, so I think we have to respect everyone's individual decision on how much safety data they'd want to see before getting vaccinated.

Something funny about me, I have an ethical problem with sterilizing animals. I feel that a fundamental part of being alive is the ability to procreate and that to take it away simply for our greater convenience is unjustifiable.

I don't deny that there are some cases where people should not take the Covid Vaccine and I am sure that a qualified doctor can vouch for that. However we have seen numerous examples of misinformed doctors as well...

Again, i am fine with people who have reasons, religious or medical for not taking the vaccine.

But there is a reason a place like Denmark or Japan are 80% vaccinated. And there is a reason a place like the US an UK are closer to 60% vaccinated.

And that reason pertains to large swaths of both of our populations succumbing to misinformation. The US was ranked #1 for Pandemic preparedness before Covid and we ended one of the worlds worst as measured by deaths per 1M... There is a reason for that.

One reason is poor leadership including a President who pushed misinformation to citizens

And the second is citizens who consume unusually high amounts of Mis Information. There is a very close correlation between Americans who fell for the "stop the steal lie" and who think they understand the science better than the CDC or other health ministries. And the reality is that they don't.

I had a friend who fell for all of the anti vax propaganda. He got covid. Survived and a year later, thinking he was immune, got it again and died. I had an uncle who ignored shelter in place mandates, went to his church and along with 30 others in the congregation got infected. Sadly he too died from it.

These are such avoidable deaths. And misinformation as at the root of so many unnecessary dying. That is my point.
