First off I hate his position on gain of function where he seems very cavalier about the possible deaths of others it might cause, and I also hate some of the animal experimental studies the NIH supports. My brother only had Kaposi sarcoma, on his skin, in his lungs, and was never treated with any of those drugs, just chemo. However, eventually the cancer became resistant to chemotherapy. He and others were treated like pariahs, no ambulance would pick him up and take him for his chemo treatments, nurses and aids refused to enter his room. He had pleural effusions which were removed during his hospital stays, and sometimes the bags were left at the side of his bed to drip over sheets, and the floor. No one would come in to clean that up. His family had to do that. Compassion was hard to find in others, especially in the medical profession. The Gay Man's Healthline was a welcome retreat. What Fauci did was to tell a reporter that although they thought AIDS was restricted to certain groups, they found some young children who contracted AIDS in homes where parents, or relatives had the disease, so it might be much more contagious then they thought. I have a background in science and know you never make such a statement based on no conclusive evidence, and to a reporter and of course it went viral. That bastard made the lives of so many miserable before they died. I am so sorry for your brother's loss.
