"This was equivalent to no-commenting a question about whether people are innocent until proven guilty. In America, prosecutors don’t declare you exonerated, you are exonerated, until someone proves otherwise. Efforts to reverse this understanding are dangerous, Trump or no Trump. It’s appalling that Democrats are backing this idea."
Thank you! This has been terrifying to me, but no one else seems to feel that way. I don't think it sounds like some super noble, idealistic stance to realize that demanding exoneration is a scary idea. Some wrongful conviction compensation statutes require exoneration, and it is a legal mess, because the legal system cannot do that, and in few cases is exoneration possible. Where a convicted person has appealed because the DNA of another person has been found at the scene, the police have argued that more than one person could have done the crime, so that is not exoneration. One court noted that exoneration is therefore impossible. And it is. Absent some videotaped crimes or other special circumstances, that is a path to nowhere.
This thing a total mess and it is certainly a paradigm wrecker. No one appears on the ball. Everyone is distracted. No one appears to challenge Trump, either as a better option or a determined enemy. It's just incompetence everywhere, accompanied by a fury of self-righteous judgment. And someone mentioned you should be interviewed on the talk shows, as your voice is badly needed. This is 100% correct, but from the media environment, it seems that no talk shows want such a voice. I'm going to say this goes beyond supply and demand, because I *do* believe there are people in this country who would like to hear such a discussion. But it hurts the business model and is difficult to market.
Keep up the great work--I wish more people cared to do and read it.
You should be a regular on the Sunday political talk shows. They're in dire need of an intellectually honest perspective unmoored from one party or the other's talking points.
Bravo Matt. It appears that both Obama and Biden fully knew about Hillary-DNC-FBI-CIA fraud from its very start -- correct? Among others - why has Obama expulsed 20-30 Russia's diplomats in the last days of his presidency?

Saw this in a Maddow piece and immediately remembered this comment:

Really sad how much credibility was afforded to this crackpot conspiracy theory.
"Inside the Decade-Long Russian Campaign to Infiltrate the NRA and Help Elect Trump"
Bless you sir. This was beautifully written.

After all the promises from the food critics, there just wasn't much meat in the sandwich.
