Thanks for your kind comment. The "official" population is of course a little smaller, 1,400 million in 2020 according to the UN, but that is because the government doesn't count anyone who was not officially registered at birth. Tens of millions of women were not registered during the 35 years of the one child policy as male children were preferred.
