I love how the comment section splits between ultimate betrayal and congratulatory wishes. Love your work, but no labor on Labor Day leads to uncomfortable withdrawl.

What I don't understand is about media people who take holidays off is their apparently not having grasped that working on holidays is a great opportunity to grab people who don't know they exist, haven't got anything to do on that particular holiday, and are just sitting around, bored and a little depressed.

Please talk about Trump's mRNA ultimatum to Pfizer et al on Friday and give as much support to RFK, Jr as possible. There's a manifesto out to get him. Let's not let that happen.

I'm very uncomfortable with Jim O'Neill as head of CDC. One more Theil tech bro' in the mix isn't on my wish list.

I noticed that "meanstream" media were all on the bandwagon of bad choice. Part of the manifesto? Or something else?

I'm gonna start a thread: What to watch when Matt & Walter take the day off? I'm looking for a current topic show that's about an hour. I'll go first:

A recent Triggernometry where the hosts absolutely destroy the airheads that Breaking Points has become:

Bonus: Day old Gutfeld broadcasts for those cable cutters on Rumble:

ANYONE ELSE?

Thanks. If I had a podcast, I'd have done the Breaking Points skewer a long time ago. I was never much of a fan, but they haven't had a watchable segment in a year. Look forward to checking it out.

I hope other people respond as I'm always on the lookout for new podcasts.

P.S. I've only watching the 30-second intro and already I'm hooked.

My wife & I were OG paid subscribers to BP; we had watched Rising w/ K&S since the Mueller Report was released. In fact, I have a book they co-wrote, along w/ a thank you video from Krystal...

The mutation of those two since then is incredible. Saagar has gotten stupider over time, as has Krystal.

Here's my take: a L O T of these channels are going to fail. I've seen it before in publishing. Back in 2012, Amazon had instituted 'Self-Publishing' and gave a platform for selling books to ANYONE who wanted to write one in '07 and it was really, REALLY taking off. Many traditionally published writers became millionaires by 2012. For the next 3-5 years it was a gold rush.

My wife & I thought we could do it, despite our age (late 50's at the time). We did 'OK', which is awesome b/c neither of us have decent pensions.

It became more professionalized as the readership's expectations grew.

Read that again. As the consumers became more demanding for quality, many of those millionaires went bust. They thought the gravy train would last forever.

I see that happening to people like Breaking Points, Greenwald, and most of the 'progressive' YouTubers. It's simply not sustainable- the anger & rage for clicks peters out, and people start asking questions.

Guys like Triggernometry share an incredibly important trait w/Matt & Walter:

BOTH outfits try to call balls & strikes. And it's that credibility and commitment for doing the best you can as opposed to having an agenda will last.

Breaking Points and Greenwald, Jimmy Dore and all those have peaked. The clearest sign is Krystal & Saagar starting a YouTube beef w/ Triggernometry. That's a clear sign to me that they're under pressure. Furthermore, they're losing their sidekicks to other bigger outfits such as Megyn Kelly (she's too catty for my taste, but my wife likes her) It's a limited number of eyeballs and hours their viewers have and the competition is growing sharp.

I'm with you all the way. I was shocked that Krystal was taking the pro Palestinian side essentially right after 10/7. I haven't watched BP since. And the Triggernometry dicing of them is a delight.

I love, Love, LOVE your avatar! Why? You ask?

STORY TIME! lol

My eldest, when college was ending, couldn't figure out what to do. Didn't want law school, hated kids, so teaching was out, and I suggested USMC Officer Candidate School.

When she got accepted into the Corps, her recruiting Captain gave her a poster of Rosie, that had 'You Can Do It!' along w/ a 2nd poster saying 'Pain: the experience of weakness leaving the body'

She was commissioned as a 2nd Lt 30 days before 911. No lie.

Is currently a happy mom of 2 daughters and a manager for Boeing after being a schoolteacher for 3 years. LOLZ

Dave Rubin apparently let an AI sub for him recently. I cannot imagine an AI Walter AND Matt...might be hilarious, might be downright evil. Have a great holiday to my favorite two podcasters/true journalists. I'm looking forward to Friday.
