And many more! Matt, just wait until you start receiving all the AARP solicitations! They alone are possibly the largest contributor to landfills I've encountered. I never reply, and yet their mailers just keep on coming. Old school spam!

Another corrupt NGO that needs to go the way of the dodo bird.

Greg Stark's avatar

AARP and AAA. Entire forests cut down and sent to the paper recycling center via my mailbox.

Charles K's avatar

Me too. Takes a lot of paper to screw your grandkids.

MG's avatar

I take the enclosed prepaid envelope and send it back to them (empty). Petty, I know.

Running Burning Man's avatar

LoL! I did that for several years until they just stopped.

Rob Roy's avatar

Great idea. Matt! Can't wait.

In the same lane, please learn about the genocide in Palestine.

Running Burning Man's avatar

Yes, Hamas is killing Jews with abandon. Recently the murders of Jewish babies has been celebrated in Gaza, complete with stage managed parading of coffins of the bodies of those babies. By all means we need to learn more about the genocide by the residents of Gaza

Basenji7's avatar

Yes, we need more reporting on this.

I’ve often thought junk mail should be where the eco-terrorists should start. I receive so much unsolicited mail it’s insane. Why waste the money to print it? Now this is mine to throw away?

James C Watson's avatar

Happy Birthday! Wow, looking good! I would have guessed 40!

Ollo Gorog's avatar

Okay, so how do you keep that babies butt glow on your cheeks, Mister I'm-55-now?

Mike R.'s avatar

MATTHEW/RACKET: IT WOULD BE GREAT IF THERE WAS AN AP FORMAT THAT ALLOWED ME TO PRINT AND READ RACKET ARTICLES (AND SAVE THEM HARD COPY IN A BINDER). LIKEWISE HANDING A FRIEND OR STRANGER A COPY VS. EMAIL MAKES IT A LOT MORE LIKELY TO BE READ. IN THE FACE OF AN EVER MORE MANIPULATED AND UNRELIABLE ELECTRONIC LANDSCAPE A RESURRECTION OF PRINT CAN HELP THE SURVIVAL OF SUBSCRIPTION JOURNALISM. (HAPPY 55-- THANKS FOR YOUR HARD WORK AND SAY HELLO TO YOUR GYPSY SIDEKICK FOR ME.)

Happy Birthday Matt. Join the club of having to learn something new. I'm 83 and could fill a page with what I either have learned or just said fugettaboutit. At least I wasn't too old to find you (and now Walter) and eternally grateful for that.

pundette's avatar

Hey, Barbara! I'm turning 71 this week, and so happy to find another member of the Old Ladies Who Still Give a Rat's Ass Brigade! Let's never stop fighting for The Truth! Hang in there; we've got this. ;-)

Mary Lou Longworth's avatar

I'm 71, and still care. Wearing my Free Speech Absolutist t-shirt.

Thanks for the new Primary Source mirroring current event data base.

Jgb's avatar

75. How cool are we after all these years?

Paul Girard's avatar

Where do you get that shirt?

Mary Lou Longworth's avatar

just type into a search engine, 'Free Speech Absolutist' T Shirt, then in top menu click, Shopping. Let me know if that works. https://www.redbubble.com/

same... 73 here

Hi Pundette. I live in a bluer-than-blue state and still hoping to wear my MAHA hat outdoors instead of just in the house where it's safe. I worked in "mismanaged care" for 10 years and couldn't take it. I have a memoir Phoenix 2.0 I'm hoping to publish (not in a book form - been there, done that - books have gone the way of...) maybe a digital book on Substack, just hoping something will happen. It's quite a good history of how much MAHA might make all the difference. But we still need to get a national health insurance program for those who are tired of funding the Big Insurers and the ACA. Did you know that "we" the taxpayers paid Obama 2 million/year to use his name instead of ACA - $39 million until it hopefully it's been stopped.

Fact check ….false

Roger Kimber, MD's avatar

Likely a false fact check from a still deluded Obamabot.

Here’s a tip, read Susan Daniel’s’The Trash Hauler’s Wife vs Barak Obama (she also has a SubStack that is informative.

Can I join I am 65?

Barbara's avatar

Absolutely - the more the merrier since I have almost no friends left - didn't get the jabs and experienced the Biden effect of being a killer!

Ditto on some conservative podcasters and the smartest guy in the room, Ron Paul. Never thought I'd call myself a conservative but at ahhm Hawker, I'm 83 and figure it's never too late to change your mind about almost anything except the Bidens.

I grant you charter membership. Please forward $5.99 to P.O. Box……….

Pbr's avatar

I got some eggs, cheap $3, can were do a trade?

Glitterpuppy's avatar

Wow! What a deal. Just saw some eggs for $8.99

Pbr's avatar

I’m close to the”source” got some duck eggs too!

Glitterpuppy's avatar

Is close to the “source” mean near the business end of said chicken?

Barbara's avatar

Same here - standard price at our coop but then they aren't from pumped chickens who get to wander around their farm.

Barbara's avatar

Made me laugh - grateful for any chuckle these days.

Jgb's avatar

Living on a fixed income, so no.

Seniors rule except for the old neocons and the Dems who have stopped thinking for themselves.

I’m in Canada and not far behind at 76. Found Matt in 2021 at the Munk Debates, a project of the Aurea Foundation, a Canadian charity. Their aim is “to help the world rediscover the art of civil and substantive public debate.

Next came the "Twitter Files", giving us an unprecedented peek behind the curtain at the workings of Twitter's opaque censorship regime.

And here we are today, still going strong.

Barbara's avatar

Hi Teresa. Liked your list of Matt's good work. I remember reading Hate, Inc. in my local coffeeshop and getting dirty looks - way back then. It was prescient in how hate has expanded in the US. Still a great book and look forward to ATW - the next one ought to be a doozy with the Dems acting like junior high bullies at their first coed sleep over tonight! Sorry, didn't mean to insult junior high kids.

Jgb's avatar

I read him many years ago in The Rolling Stone, but that Munk debate was outstanding

OMG I need this so badly. I have a very tiny amount of "real" journalism in my background, but am utterly lost when it comes to public resources available for primary research. Now and then I stumble across FOIA dumps or court documents, but I don't really know where to go to find the specific ones I want.

Thank you so much, Matt!!

badnabor's avatar

Agreed! I'm looking forward to it. It will be a long overdue step towards forcing transparency and facts upon the multitude of propaganda spewing "journalists". Well worth the subscription cost I'd say!

Dave DeYoung's avatar

Happy birthday! Thanks for everything you do to keep us informed.

Jrod's avatar

Happy birthday! You’re proving you can’t drive 55! Keep the pedal to the metal. Full ahead.

Was just listening to that!

OMG yes! I was in Publix a while back and thought wow, this playlist is great. All 80's. I'm bopping along the aisles, humming along, until I realize that what they were playing is now considered "oldies," and yes, I am that old.

Happy birthday Matt, you are a treasure. May legions of Angels guard and watch over you. You are a bright light on our planet.

Janet G's avatar

I think you’re on to something too. I hope I will be able to understand. I won’t be your “target audience “ since I am a boomer, but I will try. I love getting to the facts, both/all sides.

An irrelevant categorization, if you ask me.

Keep doing what you are doing! And happy Birthday and I hope you have many more.

pundette's avatar

Happy Birthday, Matt, and thank God for you!

I agree. Moving forward we're going to depend on primary sources more than ever. I've always preferred them anyway (e.g., the "Steele Dossier" was absurd on the face of it, and I couldn't understand anyone's willingness to give it credence, much less to push it). And do we really believe that anyone complaining about it actually read Project 2025 before condemning it in hysterical terms? %-)

You're an invaluable journalist Matt, almost the only one left. Hang in there, and many happy returns of the day! ;-)

Fantastic! Looking forward. Happy Birthday Matt! I am a 56 year old Libertarian who has read your work since Rolling Stone. Thank you for everything! 💪🏼🍻
