Thriller? All the votes are known and counted well ahead of time. The Uniparty members take turns playing the bad guy and the good guy.
It's all a big play in Carlin's "big club" for the benefit of the groundlings, the rubes, and of course the True Believers, who still, despite all the evidence to the contrary still think that they live in democracy.
"The Uniparty members take turns playing the bad guy and the good guy."
Spot on! They have us so wrapped around ourselves. We all (well most) walk around saying the left is or the right is...not realizing we are being played. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. I feel like I know nothing of truth. Everything is a lie.
Matt - this is journalism. You present the facts, and let your readers form their own conclusion. In this case, all you had to do was hand Mike the rope.
The problem with FISA these days is they are asking for domestic mass surveillance powers to seek out crime at the request of the FBI/DOJ. Unfortunately, warrantless surveillance is inadmissible in a US court prosecution. So they cannot fight crime without a warrant.
So what's the point? Profiteering amid D.C. surveillance insiders and contractors.
Another explanation for why Republican lawmakers caved on FISA - kicking the can down the road for 2 years: they expect imminent attack(s) in the US and want it to be thwarted extra-Constitutionally or, if tragically it succeeds, for the blame to fall squarely on Biden for letting in millions - hell, flying in >350K - security-risky illegal immigrants and funding terror-prone Iran.
Tucker Carlson just posted an interview with Pedro Israel Orta, who is a retired CIA analyst. He has seemingly credible thoughts on exactly this subject. He talks about how the intelligence community blackmails senators and reps. They simply deny security clearance for staffers, who do all the work, if they won’t tow the line. Mike Johnson is clearly compromised. Could it be that simple? See Occam’s Razor.
What is that a picture of? Can someone tell me? I was also curious what an overlay of Disney World, same angle and such, would look like. Does everyone grasp the shear size of that place? Most employees drive to work then probably wait for a bus! How freaking crazy is that? I can see a situation like that being acceptable if they were ca-chunking out 100 Ford Fiascos a day, maybe!, but if that place is what I think it is... holy freakin moley!
So true. It's truly amazing how ideas hatched 250 years ago by planters and merchants digging out an existence in a sparsely populated strange land who did not know electricity, combustion engines, TV, radio, paved roads, plumbing . . . etc.
How relevant and vital these ideas are today, right now, 250 years later.
We're like the tribes of Israel (Biblical metaphor not current politics) and this is our Ark of the Covenant. This is it. Without it, we are nothing.
Jesus! Spotlight on the semi-literate "patriot" who believes that the good laws were written by better people in a better age and now we need to fear the deep state that was created despite them.
If you ever question why you're dismissed correctly as right-partisan, this is a great example of why.
Hats off to Mike Hamilton !!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Mass surveillance has nothing to with crime fighting.
It's about social control, it's about stopping the revolution.

I believe its the NSA building.
That's unsettling. Oh well. Another case of beer and a big bag of weed and I'll be fine.

so you're against the constitution? and for the deep state? cool politics, bro. matt's not right wing, he's just right.
No one in power cares about the constitution, what George Buhs described as, "just a piece of paper".
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be like Mike!
I like Mike!
