I don't always agree with you.

However I will fund you forever, as long as you keep speaking truth to power.

Never change, Matt :-)

Coming to realize why truthers call Matt a limited hangout. Never acknowledged that CTI league was reported by Unlimited Hangout in 2020 (Whitney Webb & Co. Covid was a HUGE wakeup call for me & dug deep to find those whom got it earlier than say the Great Barrington, Weinstein et al. When he re interviews Peirre Kory again then my trust might come back. Now cautious and definitely sitting out this election.

Merry Christmas! Thank you for your work.

Also, consider checking out The Free Press today. Perhaps I am bias as I went on a similar journey working as a whitewater guide in the mountains of WV during undergrad, and I am always most a peace in nature, but I also sense that anyone who has taken the time to breathe in the natural world, to be humbled and moved by its incredible power, might be searching for something. I found peace letting into my heart what I spent my young adulthood determined to reject. I think many others have too. Consider it?

What a lovely sentiment. I feel the same. Especially about the majesty of the Colorado Plateau, especially Southern Utah’s impossible beauty. Merry Christmas NCmom!

In 2011, when my oldest son was 7, he began, for no reason we could discern, urging us to take a family road trip to southern Utah.

I was unfamiliar with the area, but we took him up on it during spring break of that year. Wow, what a wonderful surprise!

As a person whose radical conversion experience did not happen until I was 61, I consider Matt to be relatively young, as far as secular materialist seekers go. Anyone who resolutely seeks out the Truth, will invariably wind up at the foot of The Cross. And as Paul Kingsnorth said, one then has to believe simply because one realizes that is is all "Real" and it is all "True."

Merry Christmas. Happy Hanukkah. Merry Festivus. Whatever it is you’re into - we shouldn’t be afraid to offer holiday greetings anymore, that’s so 2016. Happy holidays to you and your family Matt - you’ve been a busy elf this year and have put out a lot of great work. Most of the issues/stories you’ve covered would give an aspirin a headache.

Puppies.

On Sept 15, my Ruby died. She had been sick for two months, but was 12, and that's old for a pug. She was my favorite pet ever (I'm 65). My wife and I have cried every day...every day. This was going to be a sad, sad holiday for us; we lost a family member we raised from a pup.

Ten days ago, my wife was doing what we old farties do... noodling on Facebook, and came across a pug puppy video. (At that same moment, I was crying at work over Ruby; no lie).

She thunked a think and checked out Kijiji

Kerry the pug has been home with us for a week now.

That black void of grief has been filled with a playful, affectionate ball of energy that has brought laughter and joy back to our home. I will always treasure my memories of Ruby; she was so good for us.

And loving Kerry The Pug is how we honor her memory. We're so happy; we thought we'd never feel this way again.

Merry Christmas to us all, and

I am so very happy to hear that you have partially healed the wound that the loss of Ruby caused. Adopting another dog and making a great new life for that dog is a healer that many people don't realize.

RIP Ruby and a Happy New Year with Kerry!

Thank you, Susan. Shelley and I can't believe how happy we've been. Kerry is one special pup; BION she's already litter box trained. 8 weeks old, and pees &poops where she's supposed to! 😀😀😀

Well, you got half of your wish already, because taxes don't fund spending at the Federal level. That is old gold-standard thinking. We haven't been on the gold standard since Richard Nixon took us off the last of it in 1971. We have had a fiat ("on-demand": look it up) currency ever since. That means that Congress creates new money every time they pass an appropriations bill (per the Constitution of the United States, Article 1, Section 8). Since they create it, they also get to say where it's spent.

This means that withholding your taxes doesn't have any effect on the US spending most of its money on military adventures overseas. (I knew that Tricky Dick had some nefarious purpose!)

Please learn Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) because they use empirical evidence to look at the US monetary system. As long as regular people don't understand how it works, they will continue to fall for the lies the politicians use to keep them in line: "How are you going to pay for that?" "We'll have to raise your taxes!"

I learned MMT in 2015 and I'm a smarter citizen now.

You can find it on The Rogue Scholar, MMT Mondays, Macro'n'Cheese, or Real Progressives on YouTube. Stephanie Kelton also has several great videos on it on YouTube.

Here's to a happy and enlightened New Year for you!

So many of us seem to be wandering and lost. For me, Christmas is the time when we realize that we are all sought by the one whose birth we celebrate today. Matt I wish you peace, love and contentment this day. Take the time to look over your shoulder - I am sure you are being pursued (in a good way)! Hugs for those 3 boys - what a joy for you and your wife!
