Also, using a similar alphabet does not show a direct linkage of the languages, merely a mode of transliteration.
The territories of each tribe had a ton of overlap though; it's not like you could draw on a map where Cherokee territory ended and Sioux territory began.
Judea & Samaria were historically a mixed bag of tribes, Jews being one of them. Neither Jews nor Arabs can claim a monopoly on being indigenous to the Holy Land. What changed is Islam, which is much more intolerant of infidels than any previous Arab religions. Before Islam came along, the various tribes could at least alternate between petty wars and tolerating each other as neighbours.
To be fair to Baghdad, the Mongols crushed pretty much everybody.
Israel really isn't a "colonialist outpost", so much as a badly designed form of reparations for European Jews. And yeah, I remember when Biblethumping Christians wanted Israeli-Arab conflict because they thought it would trigger the Rapture.
