So, a couple of things: Good snark as usual, and I love snark but snark isn’t worthwhile unless we can use it to highlight the alternative or the position we are in favor of. So, are we saying going into space is not a worthwhile goal? Or is it ridiculous to specify a black woman for the trip? Is it really important that a black women goes to space? Or are we saying the funding for the expedition should come solely from the government till (which is still taxpayer money after all, and ends up in the pockets of the companies that contract with the government). So what is it you are advocating for? I would like to hear a Bari Weiss style debate on this topic. Just like the one you did, Matt, about US intervention in foreign wars. Don’t get me wrong, I love your style, but I think more discourse is important too. I haven’t worked out everything I think about this.
