It's not a stretch to label antifa as "terrorist" and riots deliberately staged by political organizations as "acts of terror." Nothing came of that anyway, as the establishment was sympathetic to the rioters. Trump isn't the only one who wanted to call out the National Guard during the Summer of Hate.
If Trump wanted to change libel laws, I see it as a desperate attempt to stop the relentless campaign of hate he has faced since winning in 2016. I am sympathetic, but obviously nothing came of that.
I find it laughable that you cite "Politifact," a "fact-checking" outfit with obvious political bias, and the CBC, which is a tentacle of the Canadian government and which airs the political opinions it's told to air, frequently without even revising the language dictated by whatever bureaucrat feeds them the day's pronouncements.
"It's not a stretch to label antifa as "terrorist" and riots deliberately staged by political organizations as "acts of terror.""
You're right, it's not a stretch - it's outright false.
Wasn't there supposed to be some kind of moral panic recently about labeling right-wing extremists as "domestic terrorists"? I seem to remember something like that being made a major issue of on this very substack.......... I guess the principle becomes less important when we're dealing with left-wingers, huh?
"I am sympathetic" - you're sympathetic to Trump attempting to suppress constitutionally-protected free speech via rigging libel laws in his favor? Color me shocked.
"I find it laughable that you cite "Politifact""
Well, yes, partisan hack morons generally don't appreciate the value of factual political reporting.
Impugn the source all you want -- that's just ad hominem. You can't dispute the facts, and the facts are that Trump and Republicans talk all day about the wonders of free speech, and then immediately move to undercut it whenever it becomes even the slightest bit inconvenient for them.
You are perceptive. I was implying a comparison between antifa and BLM waterheads to the ethereal and ever-shifting bogeyman "right-wing extremist." We are supposed to believe, according to the bought-and-paid-for news and the politicians who feed them, that a bunch of mostly middle-aged Trump supporters milling around outside and inside the Capitol building are "insurrectionists." They gave some poor bastard 20 years in federal prison for milling around where he shouldn't a been. Right. Antifa and BLM are like the Kiwanis or the PTA in comparison.
I don't care what "Republicans" say or don't say about my first Amendment rights. Party politics is dead and it wants to take us with it. Trump is nominally an R simply because nobody votes for third-party candidates in enough numbers to do anything but siphon a few votes from those with big $ and massive media presence (incidentally a presence that The Don gets for free for being the bane of fools and retards everywhere).
Go ahead and Trust Politifact or Wikipedia or any other online source of information favored by ten-year-olds doing book reports.
"Partisan hack moron"? You silver-tongued devil! Are you trying to make me hard?

This sludge is so dumb it made my brain stupider. Congratulations.
Until you provide a reply that means anything, you can go fuck yourself.
Come on, you can do better than that.
