Not a single penny to the EU or NATO. Nothing. Freeze them out. 1000% tariffs for every EU member nation.

The EU has destroyed its economy through ESG and mass migration. They can’t even defend themselves without us. Ursula and her commissars are not elected. Yet they have the nerve to lecture us on free speech and democracy? With friends like this, who needs enemies? Time for the regulators to enlist in the European army: https://yuribezmenov.substack.com/p/european-union-army-recruitment

I watched Jonathan Turley talk about this earlier. Surprise, Surprise that Hillary Clinton was right in the middle of this. People that think we aren't heading towards this sort of Totalitarianism are fooling themselves. The EU was built for Totalitarianism, and this is what the new "Progressive" Democrats want. Communist Totalitarian control.

They keep yelling Nazi Authoritarians, while they push for a global Totalitarian state with 15 minute cities and carbon credits, and social credit scores.

"… Mr. Musk has also become involved in European politics, backing far-right groups like the Alternative for Germany party."

Ah yes, the New York Times and its penchant for smearing anyone that disagrees with the "progressive" NYT worldview as "far-right." I swear, NYT employees check in the closet and under the bed for the "far-right" before they go to sleep at night.

Also, how exactly is Elon Musk "involved" in European politics, besides verbally expressing support for one political party in Germany? Is he giving them money? Providing other resources? Is he "involved" with any other parties, or just the one? Since the NYT doesn't say, I'll assume the answer is "no" to all of the above.

This is also an absurdly low standard for claiming someone's "involved" in something. If I speak approvingly of my state government's policies, or post something positive about them on social media, am I now "involved" in state politics? This is just such lazy, sloppy, ideologically-driven nonsense.

Elon should just never even answer their ridiculous request for fine payment. What real rights do they have?

The only principled American response to this garbage would be withdraw from NATO, cease all subsidies for EU defense, and begin to close down our European bases. Unfortunately, the military-industrial complex is on the opposite side of the Constitution in this debate.

This is an obvious and unavoidable move by Brussels to corner Germany into a Europe-all-or-nothing position by eventually forcing Germany to ignore a European court ruling which would fracture Brussels. First they have to poke the Americans who are on a capital strike against Europe that is crushing Germany that wants this dsa nonsense over

Well why not try to beat up Musk and US companies? They've already lost their own to the Muslims and they think X is the easiest dog to kick in their humiliation.

The Globalist ownership class and all their political, managerial, media and cultural employees and allies are desperate and willing to do anything to save Our Democracy™.

In this case, Our Democracy™ means: they get to tell you what you're allowed to say, think and write; they get to decide which candidates are allowed to run and which you're allowed to vote for; they get to decide what our nations and their histories are, even if they have to dump every national hero in history's dustbin for their crimes against the egalitarian future and even if they have to flood every Western country with strangers; they also get to decide who is the fascist racist "far right" Emmanuel Goldstein du jour, and who all Good People should hate; and, thanks to the enormous powers of their well-funded global propaganda outlets, they get to paint all this as noble and necessary and only undertaken because of the permanent emergency of "far right" threats to Our Democracy™.

They only want to control us all because they love us so much and they only want to smother us into silence because they care so deeply about the sacred marginalized and live to heal their many wounds.

Only Trump and other conservatives—er, sorry, I mean Hitler and the Nazis—would oppose Our Democracy™!

Quite a coincidence that the same day the fine was announced, Trump's new National Security Strategy says that Europe is sliding into irrelevance through economic, cultural, and demographic decline. Sad, but true.

I'm so tired of "the next election will be the most important in history." Really, I'm exhausted like Fräulein von Shtupp.

But, of course Matt is right. The battle against censorship will be endless. Let's pray for success for our European allies and hold the line here.
