Europe has a very similar mindset to that of the USA, that is neo-liberal Capitalist economics. European growth has been well behind that of the USA and China over the last 10 years. Growth depended on very cheap Russian supplied hydrocarbons. Since the start of the US proxy war in Ukraine this market has ended forcing manufacturing costs up dramatically. The Russian GDP argument is a bit of a myth, it is a country with a large military industrial complex and rich in natural resources. European NATO members may be small in terms of numbers but their military forces are well trained and well equipped. There is not a threat to European women from Muslim immigrants, their offending rate is lower than the indigenous population. Sharia law does not exist, Sharia councils rule on inheritance and property issues. The vast majority of Muslims in European countries are hard working law abiding citizens, just as the 7 million Muslims in the USA are. Society is not about to collapse but there is major discontent with the cost of living; crumbling infrastructure and health services. This of course is a failure of neo-liberal Capitalism not that of poor helpless people fleeing death, poverty and starvation.

It is widely acknowledged (by Europeans) that Europe's slow growth is due more to regulation than anything else, and energy costs used to be low long before Russian gas. Merkel shutting down Germany's nuclear plants was catastrophic for that country. "Green" energy doesn't work for manufacturing because of its intermittency.

NATO members are indeed small in size - which matters, but they are not particularly well-equipped outside of a few countries, notably new members Finland and Sweden. They are not pulling their weight in NATO.

Energy prices in “green” countries like Germany and the U.K. have made manufacturing too expensive to remain globally competitive. Russia, with a GDP of that of the Netherlands, is invading Ukraine and testing European defenses and readiness. The European component of NATO for the most part is militarily incompetent. European women are no longer safe from predatory Muslim immigrants who have no intention of integrating and every intention of imposing Sharia law on a hapless guilt-ridden European society.
What to do in the face of this societal collapse? Let’s censor free speech and ban opposition political parties. Meanwhile, parts of Malmo and Paris are “no go” zones, Paki sickos are grooming helpless young girls, and children with gender confusion are having healthy body parts removed.

Europe has a very similar mindset to that of the USA, that is neo-liberal Capitalist economics. European growth has been well behind that of the USA and China over the last 10 years. Growth depended on very cheap Russian supplied hydrocarbons. Since the start of the US proxy war in Ukraine this market has ended forcing manufacturing costs up dramatically. The Russian GDP argument is a bit of a myth, it is a country with a large military industrial complex and rich in natural resources. European NATO members may be small in terms of numbers but their military forces are well trained and well equipped. There is not a threat to European women from Muslim immigrants, their offending rate is lower than the indigenous population. Sharia law does not exist, Sharia councils rule on inheritance and property issues. The vast majority of Muslims in European countries are hard working law abiding citizens, just as the 7 million Muslims in the USA are. Society is not about to collapse but there is major discontent with the cost of living; crumbling infrastructure and health services. This of course is a failure of neo-liberal Capitalism not that of poor helpless people fleeing death, poverty and starvation.

It is widely acknowledged (by Europeans) that Europe's slow growth is due more to regulation than anything else, and energy costs used to be low long before Russian gas. Merkel shutting down Germany's nuclear plants was catastrophic for that country. "Green" energy doesn't work for manufacturing because of its intermittency.
If you think the Ukraine war is a "U.S. proxy war" you don't know Ukrainian/Russian history. You can't rely just on U.S. media to understand most international matters.
NATO members are indeed small in size - which matters, but they are not particularly well-equipped outside of a few countries, notably new members Finland and Sweden. They are not pulling their weight in NATO.
Russia's economy size DOES matter, because it's ultimately what drives any war effort. Hydrocarbons and military equipment are its largest industries. Russia's advantage is that its leader can compel behaviors in ways that don't work in Europe.

What has degraded Europe's economy is a failing energy infrastructure, an entitlement system that defies reform and is unsustainable (Macron tried, without success), and a wave of immigrants who do not seek assimilation (some do but many do not). Sweden's gun violence has roughly tripled over the last couple of decades. The government attributes it to immigrant gangs. And no, it is not higher among native born Swedes - quite the contrary.
