Take a look at this Substack which has been forensically analyzing the shooting since it happened. People adding more videos given the paucity provided. BBC just happened to be at a smaller rally that day? 9/11 vibes among many.
true but as walter said if you are now wishing "hitler" a speedy recovery you were either lying when you called him that or when you wished him that. (likley of course you were lying the whole time.)
But if you really believe it what you say is "I condemn political violence of all kinds but it would have been the best if it was successful." even they cant say that but this video is for the 25%!! of the country that actuall feels that way.
Ive been banned from YT for allegedly sharing “spam” or “disinformation” or some other made-up nonsense, despite not having posted any-fucking-thing, ever. Yes I appealed it, yes I was auto-refused by a bot.
If youse can get away with discussing anything that harms Big Brother’s narrative at this point, I’ll be amazed. Good luck. 🤘
Fuck big brother's financial sponsors up the ass with a broken beer bottle. Don't accept "them" buying up the new hot prospect and sailing on with a new AI powered PR algorithm. Stick their hands in a toaster oven the second they try.
Monetizing the eyeballs following disaster reporting creates certain incentives. Somewhat analogous to the situation in larger US cities during the mid 19th century, back when there were private fire company "social clubs" whos nembers got benefits from being called out to fight structural fires. If there weren't sufficient fire calls, their members were known to go out and commit acts of arson. Just sayin'...
Wow! Talk about hypocrisy. I wonder if Isaac Asimov knew this when he had Salvor Hardin say, "Fire eaters must eat fire, even if they have to kindle it themselves."
Interesting, many of these cancellation campaigns are waged on behalf of someone’s hurt feelings and need for “emotional safety” but the targets are treated so savagely and unyieldingly that it rises to the level of surrealism.
BTW, what you said about Trump being bullied by institutions reminds me of the last season of MASH with Larry Linville as Frank Burns. That was the time when Margaret got engaged to Donald and she was no longer Frank's girlfriend, which left him all alone and open to abuse from all sides. Yes, Frank was an asshole, but after a while even I thought it got a little excessive, and when Frank landed on his feet after his mental breakdown, I think that's because someone decided enough was enough. I still think Trump is an asshole, but I have to admit, the way the Democrats have been trying to stop him has been excessive, not to mention totally ineffective.
Most of friends are still committed Democrats, and they are totally freaking out over this. I understand their viewpoints, and I do feel sorry for them, but now I feel more justified than ever for leaving the party. When the GOP was initially horrified at Trump back in 2016, I thought they had no one to blame but themselves for his takeover of the party; now the Democrats have no one to blame but themselves for his triumphant comeback.
From the historical context, the Drama unfolds so much better with this duo, because although everyone knows there is some next level newsworthiness taking place, it takes cool heads to stay with it in neutral for the to and fro’s. Thanks both for the insights!
I didn't realize it was legal to publicly state, on camera, that you think that an ex-president's assassination attempt was warranted, that you wish the assassin didn't miss, and that you hope the next assassin doesn't miss.
My favorite justification for Trump's removal from reality states that Trump isn't "fit" to run this country.
So are they saying he's even more corrupt than a system that uses the pretext of freedom & democracy to invade countries & heist their resources for a relatively small oligarchy while burying any protest under a raging sea of utter bullshit.
Or are they saying that Trump isn't corrupt enough to run that system.
It's so confusing.
What's also mystifying is the number of people who know absolutely nothing about America beyond American propaganda.
As Jimmy Dore loves to say, "The Russians know they're being propagandized, the Chinese know they're being propagandized but Americans, for the most part, think they're getting "the news."
"Propaganda is to a democracy what violence is to a dictatorship." - William Blum or Noam Chomsky (The quote is attributed to both of them, depending on the article that is picked. Maybe they both said it simultaneously and then yelled "JINX.")
Walter asks: "I don't know what they (the media) have left."
What the media have left, Walter, is their core audience, an audience desperate to protect their own sense of their own virtue and perceived status. This audience doesn't give a fuck about anything but their own status and never has. The media craves pats on the heads from the rich, as they parrot the needs of the rich.
Walter, who I love, drunk on his own emotion, is utterly wrong in believing these security state pricks are every going to be willing to accept any authority other than their own. They have not been beaten down. The Trump confinement box has been fitted for a long time and if they can't, or won't keep Trump from being shot, the insiders sure as shit know how to destroy Trump from within.
The powers that be have already transformed Washington into gigantic (figurative) kill zone. He'll be surrounded in cotton batten and glue and will have a great deal of difficulty getting any traction within the administrative state and Congress.
Maybe Trump can't be bought. Pretty much everyone in Washington can. Twill be a great dream, and life will largely proceed as it does.
Guys, hope your convention segment stays on free YouTube. I'd like to send it to others to promote ATW. It's become appointment listening for me. You comedic shorts on YouTube are funny, but I don't think it promotes you correctly. Your analysis and insight is a cut above anyone else, the comedy is great but secondary. You should release 10 min segments of your best analysis moments to hook new listeners/subscribers.
Thanks, Matt & Walter. I kinda DGAF about the conventions. Then again, one never knows what will unfold. And if anything does, you two will bring the insights and humor that will get me through.
First time in history a candidate is shot, and it kills his opponent!
You DO WIN the internet today!

Note: I haven't voted since I fell for Obama.

Trolly, trolly, trolly, troll
For what an astonishing Alice in Wonderland type post that is

stolen
Matt mentioned dismantling the CIA. If Trump does nothing else, that would be worth getting him elected.
Nah, he won't do that. Or anything else...
Trump should cut a deal with the CIA.
You cats are rocking this joint! Keep on driving a hard bargain!

Fuck big brother. Fuck him relentlessly and throw him in the fucking ditch.

You can't make an end run around the financial sponsors. A newscast announcing the end of the world would still be sprinkled with ads.
@Mark Kennedy

This sort of cross platform censorship and sharing has been documented by Taibbi in the Twitter files.
What was the perceived offense motivating the activist to attempt a cancellation?

So glad you made it and that we get to listen in!
Good discussion, guys.
