If mankind returns to sanity, in future people will wonder whether this was all staged. It is so utterly preposterous. As if the WOKE are in a joint Psychosis, being played out in daily life.

Thank you. Yes, I know about the Mattias Desmet podcasts in 2021. He was a bit late to the party about these COVID behaviours.

I had already been strongly familiar with that field for a few decades by then. He had probably seen my writing. And there had been books published on this phenomenon since the mid-1800s.

I just find them sad remnants of humanity. They remind me of the cult leftovers -- the kind of people who were recruited as fresh-faced youth in the 70s, never awakened or escaped, and are now blank seniors, wandering around parks and squares in the towns their cults were once located. On social assistance now.

It was at the 2016 Women's March in Boston where I first realized these are not my people. I went to protest Trump's victory. Out of almost 300k (reported) people, I was the only one carrying the American flag. I'm from Dorchester and I could tell they were all the rich broads from Concord and Lexington. I wouldn't be caught dead with a stupid pink pussy hat. That mass psychosis stuff is real. I know some of these women. They really do hate children. Especially the poor ones.

I was there also. I already knew they were not my people. My cousin came down for the inauguration, but couldn't get in because of antifa and protestors blocking the paths. He stayed at my house and that night asked me to go down the next day with him and his son. I said no as I don't like crowds, but realized he needed the company as his son would likely disappear with his friend that they'd brought.

My cousin has a sick sense of humor and as we were trying to get to the Smithsonian, going against the crowd with the pink pussy hats, he thought it would be fun to turn and holler at me, "Hey Chris, didn't you vote for Trump?" We laughed, but he is a jerk!! :)

Just show the protests in an uncensored way.

Let the viewer decide how they choose to react.

Matt gets it. The second you begin to censor, is the second you begin to spiral downward.

let it all hang out and let the marketplace of ideas Decide what they want and what they do not want.

I am always amazed that there are people who have the time, money, energy and belief that it is worthwhile to wander around screaming at the sky and other people. I don’t know how going out of your way to offend others is likely to change anyone’s mind on anything. If anything, these kind of actions (whether the so called “People’s March” or the Proud Boys) is more likely to cement the opposition in their existing opinions as it is simple to dismiss the message based on the behavior.

""Um, there’s people I care about who are in jeopardy, who are probably going to lose their rights to exist...""

...you mean like the Palestinians, many Lebanese, etc... and of course, lest we not forget the (perhaps as many as) a million or more dead Ukrainians and Russians who were absolutely, without any question, provoked/caused into their deaths by the United States (anyone who's even bothered to educate themselves for even 5 minutes more, outside of corporate/establishment U.S. media, about the actual/true over-decade-long history of this issue, understands this clearly by now.

...oh wait... I overlooked your words "people I care about"... sorry, my bad.

I do not know whether this person, being quoted above, also spoke up for the end of, protested against, the genocide of Palestinians or whether they protested the US's complete funding of the Ukraine... neither of which could ever have possibly happened without direct US involvement and funding but... it's just so hard, almost impossible really, to take people like this seriously with their boutique "activism" if they've completely ignored the Level-one/Master issues... issues like this country's killing of innocent human beings throughout the world. I do know though (even from personal experience) that many of these people who line up on the "right" side of level-two issues (like abortion, identity rights/issues, drug legalization, etc, etc... all issues that I also consider important but not even in the same universe as our own country's mass slaughter of millions of innocent human beings throughout the world) have completely ignored, kept quiet about, the US's mass slaughter of millions of innocent fellow members of our species... probably because in some bizarre way, in some demented form of thinking, they equate lining up against the Gaza genocide and millions dying in Ukraine as some sort of support for, endorsement of, Trump... that's like the very definition of TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome)... a wonderful term I had never even heard of until I read it in one of Matt's articles a long time ago.

I've always highly doubted that it's even possible to have a properly functioning society which truly (as opposed to just superficially) cares about those Level-Two/Three issues when they're UN-concerned about, or completely ignore, the Level-One/Master issue(s) like the slaughter of innocent human life (and you can add climate catastrophe, universal healthcare and, of course, the other really BIG issue... huge income/wealth disparity... those are four Level-One issues which will negate our need to even bother thinking about the Level-Two and Level-Three issues. It's hard to understand their not being motivated enough, their being completely fine with not speaking up about genocide and the mass slaughter of human life. Imagine the mental/psychological gymnastics and cognitive dissonance that one has to go thru to get themselves to that point. I just think the human mind does not really work that way... it can't really compartmentalize like that... I believe that our wiring will break down somewhere, somehow, and exposes itself in ways we're not even aware of.

Thank you for that heartfelt comment. It won’t get much traction here amongst the righties who follow Matt. As a long time reader of Matt, it’s discouraging to see what passes for thoughtful discourse here. I agree with your sentiments. Our own government has killed tens of millions in pursuit of corporate profit since the end of WWll. There are too many who support that kind of foreign policy.

Genocide is the ultimate crime and both party cults support it. I have faith that the tide will turn against the current impunity and those responsible will face accountability. Hang in there and know the world is with you.

2 sides of the same dysfunctional coin. Although I will say that people sure love to chant shit while in crowds. I'm one of those assholes who would be more obsessed with getting far away from those crowds.

The women choosing Luigi over "those bloodsucking billionaires" might want to do a Google search:

"Individual income taxes are the largest source of revenue for the U.S. government. In 2023, individual income taxes accounted for 49% of the federal government's total revenue."

"According to the latest IRS data, the top 1% of earners paid 40.4% of all federal income taxes in 2022. This underscores the extent to which the burden of the income tax system falls on taxpayers from the highest income groups."

This isn't a defense of billionaires just me pointing out some simple facts of US economic life.

Also I should probably apologize because I can usually only tolerate these videos for a only minute or three. Not a criticism.

I came across a very odd Substack over the weekend -- the Rod Dreher Substack. Purportedly established to discuss conservative ideals such as orthodox religion.

However, after spending a few hours there, I concluded that it is filled with readers/commenters whose minds have been hooked in ways very similar to that of the WOKE. There were telltale totalitarian behaviours of heavy-duty groupthink and strong herd control in the comment forums. Even after I left, two days later I was receiving vicious emails in my inbox from one woman who was becoming threatening over the fact that I did not agree to herd dominance.

Creepy!

Though most people mistake totalitarianism as political authoritarianism, I have long said that totalitarianism is actually an aberrant group psychology which can be found on either extreme of a spectrum. And it is not found only in the realm of politics.

The WOKE phenomenon is certainly an example of the far leftwing type. But there are far rightwing totalitarian types out there too. And I do not mean that all religion falls in this category...not at all. I am talking about the extremes. Such as the 17th century Puritans, the David Koresh crowd in Waco, radical Islam, the apocalyptic suicide cults (see Jonestown), and even Jehovah's Witnesses/Mormonism. Not mainstream religion.

A shame, really ... all this stuff was free when Biden was in charge, including the White House press conferences (were you ever there when Binder, wearing that bouncy fright wig, was directing the traffic in the lobby?).

Now, under the new regime, we have to pay to get in.

Silver lining: If we need to be deported, that's still on the house.
